@plaza5292 why because she's not Egyptian...well I think it will be good since the tables are turned. Israelites were slaves to Egyptians. Middle East can get mad all they want but she is the prettiest actress for the role who has a close enough look to Cleopatra. She has the sex appeal and complexion. They need to stop being racist over who her ancestors are which by the way is Polish, Austrian, Czech, and German. If you want to be exact to Cleopatra she was a Macedonian who we don't have any actress close to the genealogy so the best we got European wise is her unless you find a lost Macedonian princess. Cleopatra was not black or white like Elizabeth Taylor. So if Middle East wants true to character Gal Gadot has the qualifications.

am from the Balkan Peninsula. Gal Gadot looks like Macedonian and Greek. Cleopatra is a descendant of Alexander the Great, meaning Macedonian. Gal Gadot definitely deserves the role of such a great ruler! This with an African who made some illiterate netflix is absurd and a great insult to Egypt!

because Gal looks much more like a west -baby -face instead of an ancient Macedonian Greek origin queen. And in a lot of scenes Gal looks like the smaller sister of Liz Taylor, so alike when in costume and make up. Too similar. I am not talking about color of skin Im talking about historical facts and facial traits. I hope soon Egypt and Greece will make a co production with the right choice of female for the Cleopatra role.

it's fine that you have an accent but at least learn how to pronounce the proper names correctly. "Exodus," "Cleopatra," etc. even Gal's last name is mangled. the next time you record a voiceover, sit down with a native English speaker first and make sure you're not butchering the names. the pronunciation doesn't have to be perfect but it shouldn't make the listener cringe. mispronouncing the subject's name is a no-no.
