I think in OPM you can get powerful by extremely strong negative emotions, no matter if you're a cat or a human. It's a lesson that if you want something really badly you WILL make your dreams come true

The body was taken away and the cat was taken to an animal shelter, where it was routinely aggressive to other cats, dogs and other small animals there. Strangely the cat started to grow in size over time displaying impressive levels of intelligence to the dismy of the shelters owner! One night at the point Nyan was the size of a large dog, he was able to escape captivity never to be seen again, until his introduction to the montser cadre appearing as a large sentient humnoid cat creature with long sharp claws! Somewhere along the line after Nyans consumption of its owners flesh he gradually began to grow and gain sentience!
