When you say no to family and friends,then they behind your back talking about you like a dog. I decided I am ok with that because I see as long as I was giving everyone I was the best thing since slice bread, but when I stop giving and finally learned how to say no.
I am perceived as cheap and not a good person. I put these people in God's hands and I am not worrying about it anymore.

Sometimes, we feel like we have to help people (when we are financially secure or in a position to help ) because we care too much about other people's opinions. We don't want to be labelled as 'hard fisted', 'mean' etc. So we take over entirely and that way nobody can say we didn't help them. However, God knows our heart. As long as you do right by the Heavenly Father, nothing else matters. I think it is important to set boundaries and know when you’ve reached your “helping capacity”. We also need to allow God to help us, help people the best way we can. This was a great conversation and as a young adult I am learning a lot. Thank you for this, Taylor

I'm a Cancer too. I'm the same way. I dont spend a lot and save. People know that and always asking me to borrow money. I give it. Money for house, car and whatever else. But in this season, Im hearing for GOD. When I need some help, I can't get any help.

Matthew 7:6....in other words stop giving your valuables to people who either don't care...not going to do well by it...or who are just rendering you weary leaving you empty...giving of your time...giving of your valuable wisdom...giving of your advice...giving of your money...I got tired of being tired emotionally mentally and physically when at the end of the day it was my well that was running dry...my oil was dripping slow...and I finally learned this at 43yrs old and am glad of it...I sleep good now!!!

If you help someone every time they struggle, what's going to happen to them when you are gone? I'll tell you. First comes a meltdown. Then, they learn the same lesson they should have already learned but didn't because you propped them up every time the going got tough.
