Improving VIP for iRO

Response video to official forum thread asking for things that would improve the game. I believe the most achievable goal is improving VIP benefits.

Here's the real way to improve iRO : Zeny transfer across characters from the same account.
Also remove exp/drop penality.

I do like the idea of removing the exp penalty. Unfortunately I think there are some unexpected consequences with the way that monster exp tables are set up to begin with. It definitely feels bad to get less exp per mob when in the Bio 4 leveling range compared to killing in the Magma 2 leveling range. I was getting like 4k exp per kill on my RK - yuck.

The wiki page on BMs used when VIP still have it for how exp worked previously to the 14.3 update(the one with Temple of Demon God)
Prior to it the VIP exp boost was multiplicative with a lot of other things like BMs, some server events, etc. After that update everything jusr became straight up additive.

Interesting. I never noticed it until I was checking the VIP page. The way that it all works being additive seems fair, but its a little weird considering it seems like it would be a multiplier of the base server rate. I would think that for VIP the base server rate would just be a higher value to be multiplied.

From what ive heard, waaaay back in the day ( i wasn't playing that far back then ) Ragnarok was not free to play, like you had to top up a card to play and stuff, people say the bot issue was handled well before and other stuff were just better and so on

Yeah back then there was a 3 day free trial. Most of the bots would be low level, and it was rare to see high level bots.
