  • In this video, we'll talk about a program that Mexico initiated to help individuals with an expired FMM tourist permit to get residency for up to four years without meeting a financial requirement or (potentially) ever going to the Consulate. I will let you know everything you need to know in order to qualify and apply for this program while it is still in effect.

    Great video. I did this in Playa Del Carmen.
    They actually now will take a debit or credit card at the immigration office here in PDC. They charge the 3 different fees and give you receipts:) No more running to the bank to pay fees.🎉

    Dope content. I first came to Mexico for an exploratory visit for like 6 weeks we got 180days but didnt use them all from 2021 into 2022. Then came back in November 22 and am here now and my 180 which expires in May. We are planning to utilize the program. Hopefully the program is still going in May. Currently in Playa Del Carmen but moving into Merida area next month and trying to hit up the program there. Thanks for the info.

    I am interested in learning about getting residency under the "Retired 65 and over" rule. It's very difficult to get information on this. Can you piont me in the right direction?

      Hi @cynthiabaumhauer403 being retired and over 65, you may qualify for permanent residency in Mexico if you also meet the financial requirements specified by your particular Mexican Consulate office in which you schedule your appointment. (Every Mexican Consulate's financial threshold may be a little different.) There are many "directions" to point you in, but they depend on several different factors, including your location and/or your preferred consulate office. If you don't desire to display that information publicly for assistance, I do also offer more private one-on-one consultations and quick question services on: mixedinmexico.com
      I hope that helps!

    May I asked what you said when they asked why did you overstay you visa?

      Hi @DivaGreen! I acquired my residency through family ties; but I have heard of individuals going this route simply stating "health reasons" or "travel interruptions" [of course, whatever is honest] when asked that question, and having success. I hope that helps!

    Is the 2 entries still correct? Everyone is saying only one stamp between 2015-2021 😅

      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому +1

      Hey Rick! In all honesty, it may just depend on the INM office you go to; but at the minimum it is one stamp in that general time frame you've mentioned, and one entry from 2021 to present [presumably the expired entry you'll be applying with]. I hope that helps!

    Is it true you can't come to Guadalajara mexico with a one way ticket???

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому +1

      Hi @Lee The honest answer is; it depends. It may depend on the airline you fly with, the custom's official you get upon entry, and/or your residency status.

    How can you get a guaranteed 180 days the first time without a itinerary.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      That's a hard question to answer with confidence; because there is no sure way. Some have reported receiving an automatic 180 days using the e-gates at participating airports. If you are flying into an airport that doesn't yet have e-gates as an option, your granted amount of days may solely be up to the mood/preference of the custom's official that day, without a solid itinerary. I hope that helps!

    Hello Dear am trying to book and appointment in Negeria but is not available

      @MixedinMexico  Рік тому

      It may be that all the appointments are filled up at the moment. My suggestion would be to just keep looking for a new opening everyday or (if possible) expand your search radius to other consulates for an appointment. This video may prove helpful: ua-cam.com/video/8ho46iLUFpg/v-deo.html
