I really hope they update the steam versions to have xbox live support, so that there is full pc crossplay. Having a separated playerbase on pc when so many people already have it on steam would be awful.
I wondered why the game is over 30GB until you showed the game folder, it seems like they force everyone to download all the language packs lol, also looks like they actually make the game 64-bit instead of 32-bit (as I saw the bink2w64), it might give better performance, I guess
The performance impact will be negligible, but will be there. The bits refer to chunks of data that can be handled by the cpu in one operation. This information may be hard to understand but ill try my best to explain. By making the process 64bit they are allowing the game to access a significant amount of more RAM. This should in theory make the game preform better as the cpu can handle way more information at once. As far as security goes, this offers nothing in terms of security patching. I've never personally coded cheats, but I do understand how they are made and how they work. Within a games memory things like player location, hitboxes, head hitboxes etc are stored as offsets. When these offsets are discovered they can then code to write to the games memory that says for example to outline these offsets (in terms of a wallhack) or reposition mouse location to this offset (in terms of an aimbot). When games see major updates those values tend to change which requires the developer to switch to the new offsets which is why during major game updates games tend to be cheater free for a few days. RCE Works in an entirely different way however. People actively reverse engineer games to find these sorts of vulnerabilities within the code of the game itself. With the game also being Peer to Peer this makes the risk of vulnerabilities significantly higher as all games have a host and with little checks in place a host could send out malicious packets to everyone who is connected to them. In the case of the BO3 RCE Patch, you are basically adding a network password that prevents information from being sent to you without the password which prevents the currently known RCE's in that game. If the code and offset values remain the same as the steam version and it is just a simple microsoft store port, nothing really gets fixed on the security side. Of course if you are playing on console you don't have to worry about RCE at all. The only way to really fix RCE is for the developers to go in and fix the security issues themselves (which is pointless on a game this old as a new one would just be found). Of course someone could make a patch to prevent these RCEs from happening, at least until a new vulnerability is found.
You know what's crazy? BO1 on PS3 at least digitally is 18GBs. BO2 is 12. Those were big games for that generation. But, the biggest game I've personally seen for PS3 is GOWIII at 33GBs, second place is The Last Of Us at 24GB.

It’s the pc version “ported” to the MS Store, basically meaning they just updated it to the specifications required to run as a UWP app. It said Xbox servers because MS brands everything gaming as Xbox even if it’s on PC. It’s just a server exclusive to this windows store release, the steam version is connecting to a different server dubbed iwnet.

When you're in fullscreen mode the game renders at your display's native resolution regardless of what the greyed out res select says. The res select is only for when you're playing in windowed mode.
All Microsoft Store versions of CoD are just basically locked down versions or extracted Xbox versions since the files are basically extracted from an .appx files. (I saw this on GTA San Andreas that the files were basically from Xbox 360.)
If they add controller support I'll buy it. There's no reason to play it with Keyboard and mouse. I'm certain this game will sell a ton of controller support and console aim assist is in the game.
@azraelthegod8388 Yeah still players deserve to play on actual servers and can have controller support. A lot of players came from console and still enjoy using controller. Having controller options doesn't hurt other PC players.
If Microsoft plan of doing something with these PC versions, I hope they do the same with the Xbox versions too. I know PC has it real bad with RCE and stuff, but I think it's time to drop the 360, Microsoft need to port these Cods natively to the Xbox One so we can finally drop the 360 and get rid of the hackers, and run the games from Xbox One servers, and if they re release them on the Game Pass on PC/Microsoft store then add cross play too. We can only dream :') But I can't get too ahead of myself if the current anti cheat they use on Bo6 and Warzone fuckin sucks lmao

It's different version than Steam when u look at the bottom of the screen. Also it doesn't stutter in this version.
