Ghost of Tsushima: The Game Every Assassin's Creed Fan Should Play
Вставка

- Ghost of Tsushima, in many ways, is my dream Assassin's Creed game. It hosts the setting I had always wanted to see in Assassin's Creed; Feudal Japan, and it has many elements and ideas from Assassin's Creed. And in many cases does them better than Assassin's Creed itself...If you love AC chances are you'll love Ghost of Tsushima even more so...

Its crazy that you can't initiate assassinations while in mid air in AC games. You can in Ghost of Tsushima and its amazing.
Ya, it made assassinations so much easier. And the triple assasinate is amazing, I really don't know why AC hasn't introduced it yet
@@QuatarTarandir Yeah its so much better than throwing a stupid axe or knife at a second enemy.
Ubisoft are dumb
@kevinfromsales6842 So true. And the throw is so slow and clunky. Like, it's not even cool, whereas I always enjoyed the triple assasinate
Cuz assassins creed games are a joke
The combat was always the thing that stood out to me the most in GOT. It's some of the most satisfying and rewarding combat I've ever experienced to this day.
I think it's got the best combat ever in a game. With precision timing you can wipe out whole groups of enemies without getting hit. My biggest group was 12 and I was just in total awe of how amazing the combat is after that point. I still get excited talking about this game it's just so, so good
yep, for a grounded combat, this is the best of all, kinda revisionized arkham style with more style and precision
I like GOT, but Sekiro combat shits all over this game, sorry
@@avelonzx That's personal preference, but I do agree Sekiro has great combat.
Id say as far as swordplay goes, my top 3 in video games would be in order 1. Sekiro (seriously its nigh perfect)
2. The witcher 3. Swordplay in this game really shines when fighting against enemies who also are using weapons.
3. Ghosts of tsushima. Id almost tie this with the witcher 3 but it lacks some of the super high octane fast paced battles the witcher 3 has.
Honorable mentions to nioh too!
Ghost of tsushima is easily the game I always wanted.
Hope there will be a second part
I mean if they do not make a second part they are stupid lol game is so loved and made so much money
@@Ambatukam69317even if it’s bad it would still sell
its coming 100% no way it doesnt
I will quote sheriff Whitehorse from Far Cry 5: ,,Sometimes better is leave everything alone, and walk away" - making sequel of this game can gone wrong so better is just leave good game as a good game and don't do the terrible sequel that will ruin that masterpieace...
According to history, there was a second mongol invasion. So there is hope.
For me the levels of assassinations are mindblowing, every time you upgrade the dagger your animations completely change from completely sloppy and slow to an efficient killer.
Expected nothing from this game when it came out but after playing it it’s one of my favourite games of all time
I was super hyped for it on its first reveal and it didn't disappoint me in the slightest. Even the multiplayer was super fun with my friends.
How did you expect nothing after that reveal trailer lmfao
@@psychedelical I didn’t see the trailer honestly so it was a new experience
What do you mean "expected nothing"? This gane was hyped AF and I was honestly mad that Sekiro got launched earlier than GOT
@@thatboyakira4202it was a good release. But tlou2 was rigged during goty. Ghost won that year. Woke stated in 2019 in gaming
Some of my favorite side missions in this game are those where you unlock abilities or armor like the heavenly strike or the dance of wrath the story behind the moves were just so good
I just started the game, I’m not even an hour in yet and it’s already so much better than I was expecting. The soundtrack is probably one of the best parts in my opinion. The story got me hooked instantly, especially the way it teaches the controls through flashbacks. Truly an amazing game, I can’t wait to really get into it
That first sequence before you even get to the title screen is top 10 moment in gaming, for real
You’re gonna love it! Act 2 is my favorite especially with the story and the areas in act 2 are just so beautiful. I hope you enjoy it
i hope you find out something about the flute :P
It’s been a month, what do you think now?
I love this game, and believe it’s very well made to the point I platinumed it and have 89 hours, so safe to say I recommend.
Same it feels like the future of ac
Nice I got a like from MassterAssassin
Hope it comes to PC, never played it.
@@BlazingFire9 me too I want as many people to play this as possible
@@Gexorgexx ac red won’t be better I can already tell
Not just that, but the sheer level of aesthetic beauty of the land, nature, and its people juxtaposed with absolutes brutality and violence of medieval invasions sprinkled with a tenderly cultivated topping of Japanese culture with its shrines, landmarks poetry, and masterful storytelling...is easily a masterpiece which I'm glad Ubisoft wasn't able to get to first and mess it up.
Thank you Sucker Punch.
I now play this to simply get lost in 13th century Japan and trot around its island and really immerse myself in what was a simpler and more meaningful yet much more dangerous existence our ancestors experienced.
Well said, sir.
When this game came out I was 12, it was my first open world game and my dad bought it for me on the release day. Before this game i had only played online games and never a game like this. I played it everyday and really enjoyed it. Now that im 15 and have played many other open world games I realise that even if this was my first ow game, it is to this day the best one i have ever played.
Nice, kid
at some point, you should try red dead redemption 2. it’s probably the best game i’ve ever played. you just gotta have patience because it’s a slow and grounded game
I'm with you on this one mate. It's easily in my top 5 and you can't beat that satisfying feeling in a standoff taking out all the enemies in one go and it's got a really great story aswell
Ya, it is literally almost the perfect AC game, aside from parkour and social stealth (which I wouldn't expect from it since it's not an AC game, you know, because it'd be crazy for an AC game to not have that 😐)
Just the title alone makes this too true, thanks for shining more light on this wonderfully made game
This game came out right before deployment, and it made my deployment so fun. I played it every second I could. Probably the best game I’ve ever played
It's pretty awesome. The graphics, the character development every thing.
I would love to have similar combat in an AC game and I think it would fit far better in an Assassins Creed game than the RPG combat system. Either that or a combat system like the one from the Batman Arkham series
Ya, but I would also put God of War as an option, it's honestly the funnest combat I've ever played, so much so that I don't even care there's no stealth
100% agree
You it Said ma man , combat like in Arkham knight would be so awsome in ac
Fr. Now that you mention Arkham Knight, the multi takedown in Ac mirage should be similar to AKs multi takedown
@@azaa2188 Yes it should have been
This game is beautiful. I wish it gets released on pc
good news its getting a pc port
Great call out to the Lethal difficulty!! This kind of mode IMO is the perfect hard mode. Not nearly enough games implement something like this. All it does is raise the stakes on both offense and defense.. it makes you very fragile but you also feel more deadly and powerful than ever. Also, because you realistically can't just use armor to tank damage, you are forced to actually use your bow, your gadgets, positioning, blocking and dodging all in harmony in order to get through tough encounters. It's a brilliant way to handle difficulty IMO and is SO SO SO much better than what most games do where they just boost the shit out of enemy HP and turn them into damage sponges, effectively making combat into a tedious mess and fucking up the whole feel of combat. Tons of games make this mistake and I really hope some more people take inspiration from this mode! At least as an option, a more traditional hard mode is fine too but this kind of glass cannon, high damage low health mode is insanely fun, and pulling off huge fights without getting hit a single time makes you feel like an absolute BEAST
The only thing I will say, is that for the boss battles, Lethal becomes a little insane lol. They maybe should have adjusted the player health specifically in boss battles/duels considering boss enemies basically have just as much health as they do on lower modes, in these cases you basically have to be completely perfect while very slowly widdling down a health bar and while it does feel great when you finally pull it off, it's a bit of an unfair difficulty spike compared to the normal fights where you can use stealth, gadgets, sword, bows, distance, etc.. to even the odds
@@b1thearchitect401yeah bro, in the boss fights it actually feels pretty unfair
My friend and I have been complaining for a DECADE (since we met eachother) about how BADLY a Japan based AC game is needed. It's a perfect setting. I always wanted it set in the later part of the Edo period. Let me just say, Ghost of Tsushima is 100% the reason we're even getting the setting in the near future. All of the reviewers saying "the Assassin's Creed game the fans have always wanted" about GOT has to hurt their pride. Which is good.
i played through it twice and the iki island DLC too and i even bought a PS4 Pro specifically for this game and what an amazing experience that was. I love this game
One thing I might love is if Jin somehow makes a cameo in shadows. Even just a side quest mentioning his legend
The combat in this game, especially when difficulty is set to lethal, is possibly the BEST COMBAT in a game ever.
yknow i’ve been looking for a reason to start this game and you’ve given me it
Just finished the game last week on PC. Ghost of Tsushima is what AC could and should be. If we are really honest, stealth and combat in AC is never the best or the most complex even though it is suppose to be a stealth game. The simple stealth work fine and satisfying enough with some tools and hidden blade. What really captivated me to AC in the first place is the story and the concept. GoT gave me that same feeling to the old AC games with it cinematic experience and simple yet immersive story.
Such a beautiful game.
I played ghost and it’s my second favourite game now. The first are the the two new god of war games.
I literally cried at the end of ghost, and when that happens you know a story is good! I agree with your points and strongly recommend this game to anyone
This is definitely my favorite game now. It used to be my second
I’m so glad you made this video it really confirms how I feel as a player who has Platinum’d GOT & AC Origins/Odyssey. THIS IS AC JAPAN & it’s the best game I’ve ever played in my life!
I remember going out of my way and spending whatever money I had on this game the day it launched and it's by far my favorite PS excusive...I really hope it comes to PC '.'
same
I'm not a trouphy hunter and i find them to be exhausting and time consuming but i had my first platinum with this game, not once but TWICE on both ps4 and ps5. And that’s says a lot of how good thus game is, yes it gets repetitive at times but it’s so fun and the world is just breathtaking and i think for an open world that’s rare these days.
It could work as an AC game in head canon lol. The Shogun/Samurai are the Templars/Order of the Ancient. Sakai was raised this way and fought their way. But he starts becoming indoctrinated by the Hidden Ones/Assassins since their methods are more suited for dealing with the Mongols. In the end Sakai was raised in the Order but became an Assassin
Long ass comment incoming. You are the UA-camr who got me into Assassins Creed and made me get my first AC game and actually helped me make the difficult transition from Competitive FPS aspiring pro which was screwing up my life and health in many ways back to single player games which I started making videos on and loved playing again so Thank you so much and just want to say I love your content dude!
In regards to GOT its in my top two games of all time alongside uncharted (2 3 and especially 4). GOT has the best combat I have ever experienced best loot system and best weapon upgrade system. This game has room to improve but not too many complaints. After GOT no RPG for me has even come close in my opinion. I adore this game and your take on it is solid. I really hope AC can combine the old amazingness of AC games and the Assassin. Stuff with an RPG quality of combat and loot and weapons like Ghost of Tsushima. It's an incredible game. Love your content dude. Keep crushing it. For first timers play this game on Lethal it's realistic one hit kill but one hit death as well. Its amazing!
Did you by chance play the next gen update for the witcher 3? If not you really should. The swordplay is so good and the way they changed how signs work makes combat flow so much more fluidly and the story, well..... its peak high fantasy. And the next gen update makes it look like it could've been released yesterday. I played it on release and im playing the update for the first time now and im blown away
well 1 year later im playing it now on pc and its the best game i played in a while, and superior in every way to all ac`s, even in movement, since you actually can express yourself with a goddamn manual jump button...
Also the Story is Fantastic!! It shows Ubisoft that to make a good story you don't have to make it super complex....
I played the ghost of Tsushima recently the game is beautiful and I love the story telling and being playing the assassin's Creed series since the beginning (not RPG) There's a similarity between the two games
• stealth
•Hiding in the grass
•Silence kills
•Smoke bombs
•Eagle vision
•darts
•air assassination
Note : I played the ghost of Tsushima mostly in stealth mode
Ghost of Tsushima is an incredible game, as i dreamed it to be a successor to Assassin's Creed as it has the foundations of it being a Samurai Assassin. Another being Sekiro, with its combat and stealth. This is what Ubisoft should have made years ago before Code Red.
Great game. Stealth is done fantastically and so is the open combat. They did what Ubisoft wish they could’ve done.
I really hope it comes to PC. It's the game I've always wanted to play since I started AC.
This game was amazing, I got the platinum a week ago and it incredible, the world is so beautiful and immersive and the side objectives were really fun, my favourite parts are probably the duels and shinto shrines
It will definitely be interesting to see Ac Red go up against Ghost of Tsushima and Rise of the Ronin
The one thing i loved about this game is the bow, it just feels heavy and i loved it
I like how all out combat n all out stealth are equal in challenge, so you could really replay different ways, without the skill tree bs like odyssey n Valhalla
“Headshots are one-shot kills on any enemy unless they’re wearing a helmet.”
[laughs in Bow of Uchistune]
I'm running a Let's Play channel, and I can't believe I haven't considered Ghost of Tsushima for my channel, I absolutely love this game!
When I first got it I was blown away by how good it was to play, and the story *chefs kiss* beautiful
The Shinobi's Creed, it's one of the best that took us by suprise
I bought a PS4 to play it. I then bought a PS5 to play it again slightly shinier. Then I bought a GOT displate to have a reminder on my wall. Definitely one of my favorite games for sure.
I've had this game since it was released on PS4, and bought it when it was out for PS5. I still love this game so much
This is cool because I also bought a GOT poster from Displate 😂. I have it in my room
I agree with everything you say, im a big AC fan. I only started playing ghost of tsushima about 6 months ago, yes I discovered it way to late. And absolutely loved it, looking forward to AC Shadow, as we now know that's what it's called.
One of my favourite games. I'll never forget the first time I did that initial charge down komoda beach.
Im in a Ryūha a japanese warfare school basicly, which is over 200 years old where you learn everything the Samurai also trained, you learn fighting techniques with all different kinds of weapons, you learn about culture and ettiquette, how to dress, how to fight wearing Armor, at some point you have to be fluent in Japanese even and the funny thing is some of my fellow students actually joyned that school because of Ghost of tsushima 😅
The timing on this video is crazy. I started it yesterday. Can’t wait to get even deeper.
i havent even played any ac but ive been watching a shit ton of ac content today and this video has jsut reignited my desire for ghost
Been in tshushima since day one and after like 3 years i am still in especially legends.
Favorit game hands down!
Its so good its getting a big budget hollywood movie of its own the director of john wick series will be directing it 🔥🔥🔥
I’m not a trophy hunter but I just had to platinum it it’s such a masterpiece it should’ve won goty 🥲
Not the goty it's masterpiece but not goty
As someone who also platinumed ghosts, it’s honestly better not to do it because you start to realize how much you dislike some of the side content after aiming to do every single one; better to just enjoy the story and the few things you’ll naturally wander into doing on the way
@@jacob3761 I don’t dislike anything tbh I’m still playing the game even after platinuming it.
I agree. For what there was in 2020. This should have been goty
@@CornyPuddle yeah I finished tlou2 and it’s overrated
I just started playing Ghost a few days ago and I'm hooked. I am enjoying this as much as, if not more, than any of the AC games I've played.
If GoT comes to PC, I really hope modders will add a cool Japanese assassin outfit with a hood. Even the signature black Ghost outfit would be sick with the black hood.
My head cannon is that Jin is an proto assassin before they got to the island to actually start the brotherhood. And the monguls are a branch of Templars. I also have him wear all white in my gameplay.
When I first heard about this game, I wasn't really sold on it. But then I watched someone play the opening of the game and was blown away. I stopped watching the video and got the game and played it for quite a while. I dragged it out, because it was so good I didn't want it to end. Lately, I've been thinking about re-playing it.
i'm currently playing it i js got to act 3 and this game is so beautiful
Oh, I'll absolutely play it... When it comes out on PC.
I was so happy seeing you made another video about ghost
I actually got into AC through Ghost of Tsushima I figured hey this stealth game is a lot of fun I should try others and now I’ve played about half of them
Always patiently waiting for a PC port for this game, would love to play it.
Same here! With Sony porting more games to PC recently, I'd get this one for sure.
I am a 11 Year old Kid on my Mom computer without her Knowing and I just want to say you are one of my favorite UA-camrs.I am trying to platutium assassin creed 2 now.
I have not played Ghost of Tsushima but It looks AMAZING.
I started playing ghost of tsushima & I loved I’m super fan of Ac games but this one I’m so hooked it’s super awesome
Most fun stealth i've ever played
AC has good stealth too but GOT's gameplay is so solid
You know it’s a good day when MasterAssassin uploads
u said that last vid as well lol
@@Assassin-edits1 I will keep doing that until he reacts

Jin sakai is same goat character as altair and ezio.
Gameplay-wise it's easily the best game I've ever played. The controls, fluidity of the game and fighting are perfect. I'm struggling to see how they can top this with a sequel, it's that good imo
I'd happily just take more of the same, don't want change for sake of change which might ruin what makes this game special as it is. Would love lethal mode available on release though
If they can implement hand to hand combat that will be insane..
One of my favorite games of all-time. I didn't play through it till a month or so ago, but I was hooked the whole time. I still play it to beat new game plus and re-run camps for battle training.
I wish it gets released on PC
True. I wanna see it unlocked to it's true potential
Its on PC now and they’re teased us on making GOT2 already
to answer your question yes i've played ghost of tsushima multiple times its a samurai game and a ninja game at the same time,
two things i like and it scratched the itch i've had since ac games began trying to be the witcher 3.
ghost may not have parkour but its combat is great and to sneak around killing enemies in the shadows is great too
Although I played it 2 years after release, Ghost of Tsushima is definetly one of the best games. I only played it on Lethal, so it was sometimes annoying dying and dying again but I managed to almost 100% complete it(except some collectibels). I also played a lot of AC Unity, Syndicate and Black Flag(which I also 100% completed). And I need to say that Ghost of Tsushima style AC game would be perfect for the RPG games. I really loved all of the games.
Never played yet but I’d definitely give this game a play through!
it’s available in the ps plus library. if you get directors cut, story expansion is available
Let's not forget they gave us Legends for free, which provided hundreds of more hours of play. And was hands down better than any online play AC has given us.
I’m currently in the middle of a replay through, just got the Sakai clan armor, the first day I picked this game back up (first time on ps5 my first 2 play throughs were back in ps4 when it came out) all I could think was how GORGEOUS it still is
I hope that one day you will talk about Chronicles trilogy,it's quite underrated
I've not yet played this, but after watching your video, I decided to download it for my ps5. I really hope your recommendation is truly worth it.
This game on its own made me buy a PS5, of course there were other games I was excited to play, like Spider-Man, Demon''s Souls and God of War, since I never had a PS4 I never had the chance to play these. But if Ghost of Tsushima was the only game I could play on the PS5, it still would''ve been worth it. It became my favourite open-world game of all time, probably even my favourite game of all time. No story gripped me this hard before (especially the transition from ACT II to ACT III, if you know you know), no combat felt so intact, no world was so beautiful, and no new IP got me hyped only with its trailers and soundtrack, before playing a single second of it. Excited to see the sequel.
I’ve beaten this game twice. It’s the only game I never get tired of playing.
Ghost of Tsushima is my ALL time most favorite game ever & it really is everything I've wanted in an AC game but it's also so much more so it really is a phenomenal game!!! 👌🔥
Almost quit at the start because i found the combat to hard even on hard difficulty but then came back and played through the game on lethal and LOVED it , once you get into it its so fun
Played a lot of assasin's creed younger and still to this date but after finishing goft I can easily say that it surpass all of the AC game I've played, even the best like black flag. Best game i've played so far.
Ac fans: we want game that takes place in Japan
Ghost of tsushima : Allow me to introduce myself
I cant wait for ghost 2 I will always pray unity gets a second game as well Arno is a underrated character he has ezio potential if fleshed out properly
theres seriously a perfect oppuranity with the ronnins to tie into a brotherhood
I'm only a recent AC fan and have been watching a lot of your videos. This game is definitely on my play list. I still need to play all the AC Ezio games, finish Black Flag, play Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins and Odyssey (have played and finished Valhalla and AC 3).
i’ve been trophy hunting for over 6 months now, and this game is one that i need to play for sure
THE BEST GAME EVER i am currently in the process of platinuming itbut this is my dream game i agree with everything u said even after getting platinum i will play through the whole ng+
I wish ubisoft takes inspiration from ghost of tsushima
Update I platinumed it
I loved this game so much i got the platinum just like master assassin. And while i was grinding the plat trophie, it didn’t even feel boring. And man, if there will be a sequel i will do just the same.
This was the first game I ever platinumed
Master you should definitely try Aragami 2. That game is amazing and basically everything you could've wanted from AC Red and more!
100% agree this was the assassins game i wanted creed to be . Ghost was such an amazing experience and beautiful setting with a great story . the fighting was smooth , assassinations felt great . i 100 percented this on PS now that i got a PC i am very impatiently waiting for it to come to PC so i can re-beat it again XD
same
Yeah they hit it on the nail... all they can do is just make it better. Because there is nothing wrong with it. And when I say nothing wrong I mean, the places where we see flaw are minor and can easily be upgraded
You can assassinate anyone. No level required. The skill tree is perfect. Everything makes sense. You can easily damage enemies and vice versa. They don’t get stronger as you get stronger. They remain the same as you get stronger. But everything you said is spot on
Been a while since I’ve been to this channel. I remember just a few years ago u were barely at 10k subs
I remember watching my partner play it when he first bought it and remember thinking it looked good, but I never got round to buying it and playing it. But as an assassins creed fan, if you recommend it, I'll definitely try it. I need to wait before I get paid though Lol
I think in the end it boils down to Ghost being a passion project, and the AC a corporate profit generator. Ghost was started with the mission to feel and be experiences as a piece of art. I mean it even has a black and white mode as a reference of the old samurai movie (cant remember the name 😅). AC on the other hand is plagued by the decisions that are influenced by quarter reports of the company sadly.
Hope fully a game likeness to Ghost of tsushima will come out on all platforms. The only thing realy stopping alot of ac fans for playing it is that they may not have a ps4. It's hard to believe we almost got a feudal japan Assassins creed game for when they were developing brotherhood they entertained a feudal japan setting but also along witht he idea of Unity, which I believe to be the last legacy of assassins creed, until we see of what mirage has to offer.
Played it, got the platinum trophie, but the trophie hunt was a bit of a grind, it was fun nonetheless.
And Legends mode is accessible to those who don't play online multiplayer like myself
Easily one of the best games I’ve played and the combat is arguably the best in any game
I think the combat is the best ever in any game. The control settings make it seamless
@@Subskrybr I totally agree, such an amazing game
Finally playing this on pc..this video makes so much sense.
It is really cool how the multi kill part in the latest ac mirage gameplay trailer is of course really similar to Batman Arkham Knight (Rocksteady) and I think its a relief that Ubisoft, more Ubisoft Bordeaux is finally taking inspiration from other devs just like what your talking about with Sucker Punch taking inspiration from Assassins creed to make it the Dream Game for AC fans! ❤🤩🔥
