For me this ship is somewhere between PR and Stalingrad in terms of gunnery with positional flexibility instead of radar. She has excellent long range ballistics that mean she can threaten a large part of the map with an insane reload for the gun calibre. Her contribution will rely on opening angles with similar cruisers and battleships and not having improved AP will make this harder than PR or Stalingrad so I doubt she'll be an instant favourite. This is good though, not every ship *cough* Hildebrand *cough* needs to powercreep every other ship in the game
That Montana was funny. Clan name is LEET and has two additional times leet (even in l33tspeak) in the account name and yet can't hit a single salvo from the 15 she fired at you. 🤣
I don't think the additional pen and ballistics justify losing both reload booster and hydro/def AA, letting it keep the latter would make it a lot more useful whilst keeping Henri's reload booster flavor unique. You don't overmatch anything new that Henri didn't already overmatch. They both can citadel most cruisers broadside, Brennus might be able to citadel a few poorly armored BBs over Henri at shorter ranges but you've already lost 2 barrels for that priveledge and well if you get to use the 2x3 torpedoes per side something has either gone horribly wrong for you or the enemy.
Yep, I agree. I was also asked whether this ship gets 60s or 30s fires... and it turns out she gets 60s fires. I think this factor is a problem for the ship compared to Henri.
@@Aerroon It's kind of in an awkward space in between Henri and Marseille. Marseille can get closer more safely to use those big guns to punish whilst Henri generally does the kiting cruiser thing more effectively thanks to reload booster to punish DCP or broadsides.
They said Yoshino was the premium version of Henri IV. Now France has an official premium counterpart to Yoshino. :) I advise shooting more HE though, and maybe taking the rudder in slot 5.
it's coal ship would buy for coal not for research points, i think i have Illinois, Slava and Paolo, thinking on what to get next, since i'm basically 4 ships away from having enough Research points
I feel this ship is just filler for RB , so veteran players have something to grind for and spend resources , as RB did not what WG wanted = make players poorer in resources so they spend cash , I have all T10 + Paolo Emilio + Illinois , and rest is not interesting for me , I will get Brennus , but only because she will be mine 92nd T10 , and my RB rank ships : A: Ohio best T10 battleship in game , Colbert great cruiser for grinding tasks , Vampire II crawling smoke & good guns , Illionois like Colbert great tool . B: Paolo Emilio fun to play ... but useless , she is like that dumb hot blond girl , Slava can hit , but is meh most times for me . C: Druid 25% battles is op , if you get dumb cruiser player broadside to you , Sicilia ... I have C.Colombo with legendary upgrade , that ship is mistake . D: Gibraltar & Sevastopol and I guess Brennus , have in port for rewords . - Van Speijk may be fun to play if I was Dutch , but I am not , Siegfried I have Ägir so why bother , Hector that may be only T9 that I might take , in 3 x2 regirds . RB is pointless .
I honestly think this is probably the worst RB ship they have so far released, I will not buy her cause if I wanna play a french cruiser I will bring the Conde and much better ship than this, nice review though brother.
does it burn for 30 or 60 seconds?
Oh wow. VERY good question! I just tested it: Brennus burns for 60 seconds. This is a HUGE difference.
@@Aerroon oh well, definitely a pass then, marseille exists, after all
"You add all of that up, you get a decent amount of thickness"
I like a decent amount of thickness ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This doesn't look like a terrible cruiser, but it doesn't look like 60k research bureau ship, either. Just saying.🤔🤔
Yep!

That poor Montana, that was so funny I love playing USN BBs i got to remember this video when i play against one of this. thank you. take care.
They were just warning shots, ok?

Well, maybe. The thing is that the HE isn't that good on it. If you're gonna fire HE you might as well be playing the Henri.
Needs lighthouse build
Everyone is busy talking about Hildebrand, that most people don't know Brennus is also released today.
no one cares, its shite lmao
Brennus is just a worse Henri. No reload booster and no hydro means I'm definitely not going to splash out 60k RB points for it.
Thanks for this one - its really informative . think I will pass on this one or spend 60k research points elsewhere
Yeah, this is a ship you should only get if you have every other research bureau ship already lol
it's coal ship
would buy for coal
not for research points, i think

I agree with you.
how is the concealment can you see it from the darkside of the moon like the henri.
No reload boost, no hydro, no armor ( like henry) whatcthz interest to get this ship ?
The faster shells, so you can fight better from longer range, I guess.
The guns are great, but not worth 60k research points.
under 15 minutes again!!! woohooo!
Nice!
RB ships are supposed ot be'unique' this is about as plain as they come, lazy imagination
