I grew up when Ovation arrived - a horrid sounding creation that still sounds like a plastoid Dixie Cup. So I was skeptical of carbon fibre but I have been impressed with their sound and stability when traveling. I have recorded with mine somewhat but it's mostly a performing instrument for me.
