    The whole point of a productivity system is to get your life in order and free up valuable brain space. No one wants to be spending tons of time organising emails or searching for a book quote that they forgot to highlight.
    There are broadly three levels of building an ultimate productivity system: keeping your life in order, capturing new info, and creating a system around it. You can stop at layer one or use all three. I cover it all in more detail in this video, including suggestions for apps that I like to use daily.

      After all everything in live is about balance, you shouldn't make the calendar run your life, but use it as a tool to help you.

Also the kindle app can become an audio book also through the spoken content feature of the iphone etc. This enables you to still be able to highlight and save highlights/ notes (all the features of the kindle book) plus the added feature of audio listening as audible doesn't allow this and the spoken content feature is embedded so its free with tons of different narration options.

      Looks like a steep learning curve. Can you validate that statement?

    • @Chase_Crawford
      @Chase_Crawford Рік тому +3

      I can understand why it seems that way but it's not that simple. The basic note taking functions of Obsidian are extremely simple and easy to use. The only learning curve would be learning markdown syntax instead of clicking a button on a menu to add formatting.
      The only other learning curve would only be necessary if you want to get more out of the app. If you want database-like functionalility and other features there are many community plugins that are well-supported and very powerful. These are not required though and you can learn them as you need them.
      Hope this answered your questions!

    Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

      It's important to have patience in order to build wealth. In fact, patience might be one of the most important factors in investing. Sometimes we're the only ones stopping ourselves from moving forward b/c of our emotions. With a strong-willed mindset, anything is possible.

    My life is so simple that I do not need a calendar. A simple reminder or an alarm clock is sufficient. My life consists of five days of studying at school and two days of studying/resting at home with no surprises and off-the-schedule activities. Since I am a Ph.D. candidate, other than reading papers and doing experiments, and trying to write papers of my own, I have no course need to attend to. I have very few emails, less than five per day. And four of them are most likely ads.

    Hi Ali, I have a topic that you might want to consider making a video on: How to generate a password system that is safe and easy to use, that includes how to come up with effective passwords and how to manage them. These days we have too many passwords to manage, also with the cyber security issues these days, it is so hard to keep coming up of effective passwords while keep them all safe at the same time. If you could suggest on a good way to come up and manage them, that would be appreciated!
