I know they're really hot to wear in summer, but boots are essential for biking. I could tell you about all the nasty things that happened to me, but when I was hit at 60mph side on by an old fashioned hard steel chromed bumper, my foot was crushed and broken in multiple places. What saved me from losing my whole foot was the wooden heel on my cowboy boots!! Don't laugh, they were in fashion back then.;)) Anyway, foot and shin protection can make a huge difference in a bad, or even minor off situation. They make sexy girl ones too. I'm sure you've got some by now, but I thought I'd mention it. Just scared me seeing you riding in canvas thingies. ;)) Ride safe. PSI still love that BMW. They were never meant to scrape around corners. The rear tyres are not suitable for that. A safe riding style on such a big older heavy bike will always be more upright. The advantage you have is a lot of engine torque at lower revs than a more modern multi. Although I suspect the V4 of a VFR or the Panigale may actually be the perfect engine for a bike, a horizontal three or four comes a very close second, especially when it comes to weight distribution. Just missed out on another F650CS, a German registered 2004 this time. I was outbid! I'm telling myself belt drive isn't as good as chain to get over the disappointment ;))

You're such a lovely human being Gabriela Elena. So many young women today assume older guys believe they're not capable of doing 'guy stuff' and so they react angrily to shared experiences. But you're also very honest. You didn't bullshit about finding the BMW heavy and difficult to handle at first. I respect that a lot. Plus, it IS a really heavy, solid built bike. Guess what? Because I'm getting back into biking after too many years driving my car, and not exercising enough, I've got very unfit, so I'm struggling with my 400! But I'm only admitting they to you ;))) Am also keeping my fingers crossed hoping the #2 cylinder on the CB-1 engine has only got a sticking piston ring or a leaky valve seal. The compression test confirmed it is low on that cylinder as I suspected, but not by as much as I thought. Doesn't smoke as much when hot. Have a great weekend you two.

The description would be "F*cking heavy" hahaa the bmw is great but very very tall and heavy so in my opinion these are two reasons that you have to consider before buying a k75 or k100.
Besides tall and heavy.. maintenance is up there in price. Have experience with that even on the BMW scooter made by kymco! Well Ducati maintenance is not so cheap either. I have a monster as well.
