Can I just say I really like how genderless everyone is in sky. The spirits can be either man or women (some being more obviously tied to one gender than** another) but no one cares about what the other thinks they are. Everyone has different thoughts and everyone is chill with that. Even the sky kids can be whatever you want them to be since they also probably (canonically/logically speaking) don’t even know what gender is. They’re sentient meteors that pick up human mannerisms from dead people. The only reason why they know how to laugh is because a ghost did the same thing right in front of them.

Gender is likely a uniquely human construct, so it makes sense that in a society detached from us, it simply doesn't exist. Naturally, you can headcanon or speculate whatever you want, but it's cool that while some spirits appear to present more fem, andro, or masc leaning to us there's no real indication of gender, because they can't - and don't - tell us that. It's really comforting as an enby www
That being said. sex≠gender so this IS canon because I said so
