Regarding the look of it, no professional would have the transmitter showing on camera anyway, they will be attaching a lav mic to it, so it really shouldn't matter. Its cool that you can just stick it anywhere, but if you are letting the transmitter be seen on camera, you're probably shooting in a style/context where no one will care anyway (i.e. social media vids, on the street interviews etc).
while I agree, there could be a situation arise in the field when I want to throw this on somebody and the glossy finish becomes problematic with glare issues, last thing you need is another issue to deal with on location or in post. Also, I could be shooting a corporate video and want to use this out in the field and would rather the mic not draw attention to itself. when setting up shots we try to minimize distractions so the viewer will focus on the the message, not some a random thing in the background or distracted by a cool looking microphone. That's the reason they moved the LED lights to the side, so doesn't make sense they would add a distracting, reflecting, glossy case. I would have preferred a more professional inconspicuous finish.
The 10 features you mentioned are all things I love, especially the Bluetooth connectivity and the 32-bit internal recording. The new design of the charging case and transmitter is absolutely in line with the audio trends of 2024.
How does the DJI Mic 2 compare to the Rode Wireless Pro? I was about to order the Rode Wireless Pro, but am unsure of which to get now after the release of the DJI Mic 2. I shoot mainly weddings and vlogs. Thanks!
It has 11 hours of 32bit float and 14 hours of 24bit, It has 8 GB for each transmitter.

I like the new design. I think it makes the brand stand out from the rest. Great marketing.

Same thing I have been saying.

So it can't hook up to a camera.
How do you use the mic with your iPhone if the native camera app does not allow you to use an external mic?
iPhone problems 😂
I'm with you - everything about it is amazing - except for the new "look". Definitely stands out more on camera

Both great options honestly.
The Rode sounds much better
These UA-camrs that get free product are always bias. Only a few are talking about the issues it’s having. Waiting for the firmware update
😢

No you cannot. I tried 😂😂
