This was the third video about this project, that I released on UA-cam.

(There are some problems with sound in this video, but most of them are still placeholders, anyways).
Hello. There is a new video, showing some of visible progress I have made on this fan-game (most of the changes are in code though, and are not as noticeable as others).
This video was recorded on a test map.
Biggest additions seen in this video:
- Multiplayer.
- Deadly Nadder (Model And Textures by httyd_tv )
- First person view
- Improved character controls and camera
- Chat & console command system
- Improved movement system. Dragons now climb stairs/pass through small obstacles
- Status effect system
- Improved Weather System
- More interactive liquids
- Dynamic volumetric clouds you can get lost in =)
- Improved graphics
- Russian localization (and potentially any language, later)
- Key bindings
- Many other hard to notice changes
Of course there are still many bugs, but most of critical ones have been fixed.
Night Fury's model and animations replacement is in near future plans. No need to comment that it's animations are not perfect, I know it.
(Some of Deadly Nadder's are too).

It's A fan-game I develop during some of my free time. No need to expect something epic from it, please.
It's unlikely to release on platforms other than PC. No need to ask for it.
I may release demo-version of this game somewhere in autumn 2018, but don't expect much gameplay from it.

Привет. Вот новое видео с показом заметных частей прогресса по этой фанатской игре (большинство изменений - в коде, и не будут так заметны).
Видео было записано на тестовой карте.
Самые большие нововведения:
- Мультиплеер
- Злобный Змеевик (Модель и текстуры - httyd_tv )
- Режим камеры от первого лица
- Улучшенное управление персонажем и поведение камеры
- Чат и система консольных команд
- Улучшена система передвижения. Драконы теперь взбираются по ступеням/проходят по небольшим препятствиям
- Система статус - эффектов
- Улучшена система погоды
- Больше взаимодействий с жидкостями
- Динамические объемные облака, в которых можно заблудиться =)
- Улучшена графика
- Русская локализация (и возможность добавить любой другой язык в будущем)
- Назначение клавиш
- Многие другие, труднозаметные изменения.
Разумеется, в проекте все еще есть множество багов, но большинство критичных было устранено.
Замена модели и анимаций Ночной Фурии запланированы. Не нужно писать мне, что ее анимации не идеальны, я и так это знаю.
(Некоторые анимации Змеевика тоже будут переработаны)

Это фанатский проект, который я разрабатываю в свободное время. Не нужно ожидать от него чего-то эпичного, пожалуйста.
Вряд ли он будет выпущен на мобильных платформах. Пожалуйста, не стоит об этом просить.
Я, может быть, выпущу демо-версию проекта где-то осенью 2018, но не ожидайте многого в геймплейном плане.

Ah school of dragons i hate it it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow and you need to almost pay to play
The best way - i know right. I played it for a month and it got so freaking annoying when you had to buy everything with gems. The concept of School of Dragons was good but the delivery needs serious work if u know what i mean.

Don't gimme that "don't expect much from it" bull! The idea is so cool! An open-ended how to train your dragon rpg experience with highly customizable dragons and physics based movement? Sign me up!! No rush though. Creating a videogame takes a whole lot of time.
Я конечно, могу и казаться тупой.. Но думаю что, может ещё и добавить тама охотников или разные острова по которым можно скитаться. Деревни где живут люди, ну что бы развлечься)) поджечь парочку домишек, по воровать овечек там к примеру :>
Лодки в океанах, чтобы можно было поджечь >:} ну хватит о взрывах, может ещё добавить.. К примеру... Разных животных в лесу, оленей, волков, кабанов и д.р. ради пропитания, но понимаю можно и рыбу в озере поймать или убить другого дракона. Но звери ещё никому не помешали. Может драконов поблизости нет и водоема с рыбкой.
Понимаю, много времени займёт на создания животных, людей, лодок. Но если посмотреть с положительной стороны, то будет так интереснее)) я уже 13 лет жду похожие игры, и я думаю что скоро это свершится! Мои долгие годы ожидания не будут напрасны)) я в Вас верю! Не останавливайтесь на начатом, развивайте игру до *ИДЕАЛА!* ничего мы по дождём) ради такого и всю жизнь ждать будем))

It's not just the fire, the animations and the overall game design is absolutely gorgeous compared to SoD. SoD has shit graphics.

"I bet you can't do better" isn't a good retort to someone saying something is bad. The graphics aren't bad, though, when you look at it from a technical standpoint. The fire looks more realistic than it does in most games. The flying animations, though they could do with work, are rather fluid, more so than many other video game dragon flying animations. The models are smooth (though I think the Night Fury legs are a bit too long for a Night Fury dragon).
Yes, many things need work. It is absolutely fine that you don't like the graphics, MissCoolGirl TV. Just respect the fact that this one person has done better in many areas than many game studios have done--and I'm sure they'll continue to improve this game (it's still a work in progress, after all). Just compare the first footage of this game to this video for proof of the progress already made.

The best HTTYD game I've ever seen, definetly I'll play it whenever it comes out. Even the demo. Please keep it up, you're doing great, and I know it takes time, so please don't rush it, take your time and remember that we all support you and love your proyect :)

Nice! I’m happy to see your still workin on it. Your doin great and remember no pressure work on it when you want. I love this and can not wait to play. Also I’m lovin the ability to customize the dragons and the ability to choose which one you want to be plus their fire colors. The deadly nadders can shoot spikes to! And I like the first person view so when you want to you can really become the dragon. It’s amazing and I would totally pay for it, after all you are working very very hard. But there is copyright so booo copyright X3. We will all enjoy it so your hard work isn’t for nothin.

I am not that good at fixing them fast enough. We have already found some I didn't fix yet.

Ну не чего, буду ждать хоть год, всё таки проект занимает много времени и сил, да и улучшения я вижу.
Кстати, небольшая просьба по поводу поедания других драконов, это же каннибализм получается (6:34) можно ли сделать запрет на поедания драконов своего вида?
Или добавить систему "кланов"(?), то есть добавить возможность игрока создавать свои группы драконов , и кто нарушит правило(тот же каннибализм) вынужден будет покинуть племя.

Сейчас оно сделано так - если нельзя съесть тушу целиком, можно "откусывать" мясо с нее в случайных местах. Я не заморачивался пока над тем, кто кого ест (других животных, кроме рыбы, пока что и нет, а тестировать механики на ком-то надо). Представьте, что это овца из мультфильма) Или любая другая дичь. Для них эта система и будет работать.

Как по мне, то и фурия тоже очень классная, пусть и слегка не похожа на Ночную Фурию. Что сказать, молодцы! С нетерпением жду демо-версию.

Leara Rai дневная, и зночная фурия, уже есть, других драконов тоже собирались добавить(насколько мне известно)
Модель фурии будет заменена. Уже есть другая, но нужно зариггить и переделать анимации.
И да, насчет ступенек - это не совсем анимация. Проигрывается обычная анимация ходьбы/бега/состояния покоя, а программный код корректирует положение ног и поворот персонажа, в зависимости от рельефа под ногами.
Другие драконы будут, но неизвестно, когда. Добавление змеевика на неготовой программной основе лишь замедлило разработку. (доделывать/изменять пришлось уже 2 драконов, а не 1). Впрочем, сейчас большинство систем уже более-мене готовы, и добавление драконов - больше вопрос моделей и анимаций.

I love how the camera moves around when flying it adds a nice touch and the flying animation is a bit clunky but still great non the less.

I feel like this would be great on mobile too it would take a bit of coding but it could still work but after you fix some of the bugs and glitches this could become a major game on pc and mobile (if you add it to mobile) also it could work with console it’s up to you what you want to do but you could add in over time maybe all the dragons which I think would be great then maybe you have to start with a gronkle or a monsterous knightmare like sod but instead of having to pay for stuff like a death song add quests to the game to earn them improvements to the map and multiple maps maybe would look great too these are just some ideas which I think would go great with improving the game good luck with finishing it off and I’ll definitely play if you add it to console or mobile

The graphics in this game are amazing... I honesty like this game a lot more then the actual httyd games... it’s more realistic and I haven’t even played it yet! And why hasn’t dream works hired you yet you have so much talent if your doing this alone...
