Only 5 active quarterbacks have won a Super Bowl. Only 1 has won more than 1. The only quarterback for whom one can make an argument they need to be among the best paid quarterbacks is Mahomes. All other quarterbacks are also rans and ne'er do wells. Even Rodgers only has one Super Bowl to his credit and that came a long time ago. Other than Mahomes, no high paid quarterback is earning his keep. Rookie quarterbacks will be more valued because of their economical rookie contracts that allow a team to spend more money on ways to support a rookie qb ... better wide receivers, a stronger offensive line, and a stingier defense.
