Everyone talks how much the horse trusts its rider, and while that's true, I am also amazed by the trust the riders has in his horse. You could not pay me enough to fool around with a horse like that.

incorectulpolitic thank you! keep spreading the truth , people are waking up, have faith in the saving of Mother Earth as we have entered the golden age. There’s no going back now and all this distraction is a punitive final effort to regain control of our collective conscious which can no longer be done. The tides have shifted out of darkness and our lights cannot be put out. Dont allow for distraction from source. Envision the healing and balancing of our sacred planet and universe. Heart space , meditate , ground daily , connect with others , spread love and peace , focus on actions we can take to learn from the cycles of trauma that have kept the race in bondage for millennia so that we can release the pattern & replace with the new , do not get mesmerized by fear , love acceptance and gratitude for everything , we are all one , even those who have fallen , they help us the most, keep your boundaries and intentions strong. Ask yourself, what can I do today to become the best version of myself and assist in the evolution of the planet ... every action and thought has ripples outward infinitely and back to our center , rejoice we are saving the earth and ourselves once again !!

His coloration is absolutely stunning, with the mane and tail two different colors, the faint white stripe along the withers (I think that's what it's called, but I could be wrong), and with the marking on the left side of the hindquarters. Also, I always heard about this act because Breyer made a model off of Pokerjoe years back. But actually seeing it makes me appreciate how beautiful Pokerjoe actually is.

When he was belly up and trainer was moving his legs around he looked sooo relaxed, his eyes all blinky-sleepy and his leg joints completely loose. I've done a tiny bit of horse massage (Tellington Touch), but, of course, never worked with such an incredibly relaxed animal. Never made a connection that deep.
A horse could not do something like this that requires such complete relaxation, pliability and focus if it wasn't having fun. You can't MAKE an animal relax. You have to be genuinely and deeply cool with and respectful of one another. So amazing to see this horse/human connection.

Erika Joa AMEN! I agree with u. I'm a horse owner/lover. This horse IS a ham and enjoying his job. Domesticated horses need a job, in my humble opinion. They thrive when given love and a disciplined lifestyle. Those kind-hearted folks who are critical of this act likely are not horse owners. I suspect they believe that the happiest horses are wild, roaming the earth in herds. I beg to differ. Our horses don't live in constant fear of predators, sleeping with the proverbial one eye open. Naw, this duo here are tight, enjoying their job together; I'd bet my strongest leg!

For all those who think his tail is dyed or bleached, it is *not.* Pokerjoe is an American Paint Horse. He has minimal Tobiano markings. You may notice he has a white patch on the left side of his rump. That white patch extends to most of his dock, which causes most of his skirt to be white. the black stripe in his tail is due to the small portion of his dock that is not masked by white. You can tell he is Tobiano because of his high stockings and few white markings that originate from his topline, like the patch on his rump and the very thin white marking on the right side of his withers.

My two rescue boys often take my wrist between their teeth and look at me with a mischievous expression as if to say: "I you know I could bite if I wanted to!" And we play catch, Lucky my lame boy pushes me with his head or nips his mate Ollie when hand-shy Ollie is fussing too much before having his rug on... they are a hoot!

Meaning the punishment for our sins is Hell Because we are not obedient to God. But Jesus was completely obedient to God He went to the cross to die for us and now we do not trust in our obedience but His it says, “Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.” Gods wrath and Judgment went on Jesus Because He was carrying our sins so God treated Him like the worst sinner now God will Justly treat you like you have never sinned after you believe upon Him so when the blood of Jesus is over you God cannot treat you like a sinner! He never wants to but now He can Justly treat you like you never sinned Jesus was our sacrifice for our sins!
Tell God you admit your a sinner and ask Him to wash you with His blood and receive His Gift of righteousness. Come out of darkness and into light!

This is a trusting loving relationship between a horse and trainer and all the comments above show how biased and blind people are when it come to training and working with these magnificent animals!! I agree with you Marsha this man knows what he’s doing and has taken excellent care of this horse! Look at how beautiful that Paint’s coat is. The mane and tail glisten and the hooves are kept clean. Not to mention look how healthy that paint is!! No abuse case would be that healthy and beautiful. Plus the horse would of pinned his ears flat to the skull if he didn’t trust his trainer and look at the lip! He’s so relaxed it reminds me of my horse. Nice laid back attitude makes for a great and easy to work with horse.
As for the bit in the mouth, some horses require it to follow instructions. Especially if they have a more stubborn attitude. The bit is not hurting them stop calling it abuse when you know absolutely nothing about horses without riding one!
That whipping was fake he never once let it actually touch the animal otherwise this act might never have happened. You think those people would have watched and cheered for abuse? If that’s the case you better get down to a real horse show and end it all now. Oh my gosh he waved a whip for an act! Dear god that horse is doomed!!
Seriously how do you expect us to brush out the tail? Horses need to be worked with regular and that means every part of the body too. Is it abuse if the vet does it? NO IT’S NOT!! So don’t call any of this abuse when everything happening here was completely natural for this horse and a regular routine for any horse trainer/owner. If this was abuse that gorgeous paint would of been taken away before appearing in an arena and the man locked up.
Seriously is everyone on the internet just so ignorant to basic care. I’m so sick of seeing people act like ranchers, cowboys, dressage riders and trainers are the most abusive people on the planet just because we love our animals and want to make a living doing stuff with them! And don’t get me started on the fact that things like this have started long before abuse was even considered a real crime. We’ve been riding horses for hundreds of years! Grow up and stop pretending animals are being mistreated when you clearly don’t understand the situation. If that paint really was being hurt you could tell because scarring does exist. I have a horse who had a nasty scar from where a bunch of horseflies got him. It’s in the shape of a heart and the fur grew back white. It would no doubt be the same with this paint. I would know since I grew up raising them with my great granddad. He had a whole fridge full Incase a horse needed medicated for anything or needed a wound treated. Plus, you could pet his stud horse!! Not a lot of folks can pet one of those without getting bit. Why you may ask? Because they are animals who breed and get extremely territorial! A horse is not so gentle until a human works with it. If you don’t believe me find a stud horse and attempt to pet it, but be warned they are nutritious for bitting and you will get the same warning from any horse breeder/owner. Especially during mating season. If you really don’t believe me step into the pen. Though that might end in a hospital trip, so you might not do that either if you value your life over proving a point.
If you pet a horse called a Gelding that doesn’t count. A gelding is not a Stud. Basically same situation a steer is not a bull. If you don’t know the difference then why the hell did you comment abuse in the first place?! Consider the facts before jumping the gun. Thank you!

I rode and owned horses for 20 years. That "whip" is called a flek whip.
It is commonly used in dressage and horse training. It is extremely light and flexible. The trainer is tapping him with hands and flek in specific pressure points that are invisible cues and aids that are triggers to perform.
All the tricks and poses are all natural things a horse does in their day to day life and in no way imposes on them. Their all magnified behaviors and nothing more. Natural rein and saddle free horsemen use these same techniques.
At no time, if you watch the ears and posture of the horse was it stressed or harmed. Everything about this relationship between horse and human is a partnership.
As for the pulling on the reins and bridle is was in no way shape or form hard enough to cause harm.
Horses are capable of much more than just riding and being pasture ornaments. They are a working class animal and enjoy being challenged physically and mentally.

First off, that's a giant puppy. And nothing you say can change my mind.
Secondly, any person with a brain can tell the difference between an abused animal and one that is respected and loved. This horse? He's clearly having fun. He trusts his handler and knows his handler wouldn't hurt him. There is a bond and love. People on the internet cannot watch a funny or cute video without screaming abuse. Be it for a bird, dog, cat, horse, baby, etc.
Your comments won't change their views because they "know" abuse when they see it.
I have no doubt in my mind those who cry wolf are the actual abusers.

I have never, and would never beat my horse. You can engage a horse in some strange behavior if you just have fun with them, and anyone who beats them to force it, should NOT own a horse, or even be allowed near them. My point being that horses can be complete goofballs if you goof off with them the right way, and give them the right motivation.. Just total hams.

I've seen people crippled for life, just because of making the mistake of entering to muck the stall without gaining trust first. add the stress of loud music and croud reaction. well. if there wasn't trust out of shear panic from animal that person would be dead.
