id never heard of Milton berle before watching this movie but JK Simmon's casting just felt so on point because he just had a very old timey quality to his appearance, especially in this movie, complete with a certain level of sleaze for some reason Just great casting
@@tamusdarmody5744I only knew of him from a television history course I took in college we learned about him. If not for that I wouldn’t of known how big a deal he was in television during the prime of his career in the 50s
Both Berle and Chase cultivated reputations as jackasses, but by that time, Berle had 25+ years of TV experience behind him, and a smartass upstart didn't carry much clout with him.
Zeitgeist is harsh mistress. Berle's SNL hosting gig was a well-documented disaster and effectively the end of his career, and that was meant to be his comeback. Come to think of it, at least Chevy Chase was savvy enough to know what roles to pick and keep his flame going, despite his personality
She Milton my Berle
until I SNL
That comeback line was cold lmao. using that next time someone insults me
Prepare to get punched in the face

Never heard of Milton Berle? Jesus, how old are you?
@@RB-tx4mn27
Milton was infamous for showing his "amenties" to stun the room
@@RB-tx4mn he basically had only minor tv roles in the 80's/90's and died in 2002, so anyone born after the mid 80's probably has no idea who he was.

Don't mess with an old man in a young man's game.

Milton Berle packs more than just wisdom.

@@jiggusfiggusby the time Milton did SNL he was 70 Chevy already burnt his bridges when he was in his 40s
Let's keep in mind that Milton Berle has been dead 25 years...and we're still talking about him.
