I was surprised since I came across ibn 5 years or so back, that nobody in my part of my country including muslims knew about this wonder man - we never seek or touch the treasures in the history but carry only the trash. Ibn Khaldun - with his eyes kissing the stars, fist in the heart, hand in the pocket, feet on the ground, head firmly on the shoulders, breath in the soul, a miracle man with timeless remedies for all walks of life, of an individual, the State, the nations and all. If we fail to take him up even now then we are doomed to go through the cycle of seed to manure, treasure to trash can, again and again. Poetically speaking - as 6th C BCE Heraclitus would say, 'everything flows, and all except change would change'; and the 6th c CE Adi Sankara saying the life is a cycle of endless birth and rebirth, and more recently Adam Smith is a secret student of Ibn Khaldun. Ibn is the Guru for all ages and for all nations.

I am an Orthodox Christian and I like very much Ibn Khaldun's philosophy. There are any Ibn Khaldun`s book translated in the Russian language?

He is a good author to read, but the best? At times he comes across very much as a rival (and a predecessor) to Machiavelli !

I humbly disagree. If the muslims go back and re-educate themselves in teaching of Prophet Muhammad all the problems will be solved with in 2 decades.
