- This video shows you how to upload high quality videos on UA-cam from a phone in 3 simple steps. It's possible you're missing one of these steps and are not getting the highest quality video uploaded to UA-cam. If so, this video will fix that. I go over your editing app render settings, your camera settings, and the UA-cam mobile app settings.

The fact that UA-cam doesn’t just have it automatically set to “Upload highest quality” is fuckin insane!
I’d love to know their reasoning for that.
Dee Nimmin UA-cam takes millions of hours of videos. I’m sure if they let everyone upload in full quality it would be extremely cost ineffective and fill up a lot of storage a lot faster, especially considering most of the content on the platform will not make them money since it is not monetized.
And take up all the storage space 😤

Omg, you saved me! I’ve been uploading in 4k for awhile from my iPhone and all of a sudden it just stopped allowing me to do nothing but upload in 1080p. I couldn’t figure out why because I had never had this problem before. I was beating my head against the wall until you cleared up the settings issue. Thank you so much!

@TheSoulsEnd it’s not Android is awesome and I'm writing this on iPhone. You can't expect flagship performance from a $200 Android phone. But if you talk about flagships they're incredible like Galaxy S20+ or Note20 Ultra for example. Android is amazing.

I didn’t know about the “full quality” setting. I render some of the videos at 4K but the setting was set to 1080p. Not bad but it isn’t full quality. Thank you for that. I never miss a video from you.

Well when I open the UA-cam app on android and there is no settings to change the upload quality from what I can see.
I don't have the upload quality tab on my settings.... is there something I'm missing here ???

@@AlfieShin i found a workaround: use Chrome or Firefox browser app. go the upload page of your youtube account (sign in first). go to the drop down ☰ menu in the browser (not youtube). touch on Desktop site. refresh the youtube upload page. you should now see the full desktop version of the page. touch the middle of the page, select a file and upload it. keep the browser app and page in the foreground. I did this last week with a 4k/30 MP4 file and it worked fine.

@RealestRealist have to disable external app launches in the Chrome/Firefox browser

I’ve been uploading from my phone onto Fillmore nine and then Fillmore nine onto UA-cam. The one downfall of this is I can’t useThe upload templates. So I copy and paste everything into a notepad.

Dee Nimmin Yes it does, but I don’t know how to set it as a template. So every time I upload I have to check my settings, and if I forget I want to putting out a bad quality video.

When you say "tap on settings then scroll down, all the way down"... It much not apply to the Android UA-cam app. There is one page, no scrolling. Still can't find the upload settings. Please help. 🙁

The tips were good, but the news at the ending was really really bad. 😭 Can't change upload quality. I wish atleast its defaulted to full quality.

I'm not using the additional app other than what is default loaded with my phone, but my issue is that I film in 4k, but I think my editor app on my phone changes my quality or maybe it's a setting somewhere. Ooooh 💎💎💎 Definitely a huge thanks, going to check that out at the top of the priority list.
