I build a high output 2uz-fe for my Lexus GX470. This block came with a new Toyota a750f transmission attached to it. I guess I have to separate these to install...no way to install together? Thanks!
You’re so good at this!! Love how you took off the hood off by yourself! Would I be able to use an engine from a 2004 Sequoia (2UZ FE VVT-i) in a 2008 Lexus GX 470, also VVT-i. I think the exhaust manifolds and oil pans are different, along with the motor mounts. Just wondering if the engines are compatible after swapping the oil pan, exhaust manifolds and the motor mounts. Thanks!
I missed something... So you pulled the engine with the torque convertor, but then installed the torque convertor first and then install the engine? Thanks
@@alltsab after bolting the transmission and engine together, do you need to bolt the flywheel to the torque converter? I'm I missing something? If not, how does the flywheel drive the torque converter if they're not bolted together? Thank you
You're a UA-cam gem ! Thank you for your videos I learn a lot from you. Can't wait for more 2nd gen Tundra videos. I just got one and need to learn all about it since I want it to last me my whole life
I actually like engine that came out from car accident better than a rebuild one. Some time people put cheap part to rebuild and engine failure becomes bad in a year or 2. I don't have no luck with rebuild engine.
@@evargas209 that will supper easy on those bolts. If not lift the front differential blocking the flex plate bolts then your big hands will have a hard time to get the bolt out. Good luck on your repair buddy

Nice R&R.
I guess you take a chance with a junkyard engine.

I'm not sure depends where you take your car to. If you have a friend do it for you then cheap. Small shop cheaper than fancy shop.

Why you change engine at 245k I thought these engines was bullet proof
Poor maintenance no oil in the engine.
