gi'ah was being brief, i guess, but only mentioned cull and groot to fury. skipped over the power that's been keeping her alive and gravik from being disfigured.
Bruce/the Hulk: destroys every single atom of DNA from him and Jennifer/She-Hulk to make sure it won't get out in the world
Fury: I am gonna keep the DNA of some of the strongest beings in the universe like Carol, Thor, Wanda, the Hulk and Stephen so anyone can attempt to get it to try to enhance themselves

I was in denial that Talos was dead, but the ceremony confirmed that he’s done. I’m personally bummed because I don’t feel like we got enough from the heroic Skrull. He was a real one.
Perhaps now Gi’ah will step up to the plate. She and Priscilla made for a gunslinging duo I didn’t know I needed.
I know it’s been two years, but I actually didn’t expect to see Rick Mason in this show. Then again, it makes sense. He used to be a SHIELD agent, and I believe he secretly had a thing for Nat.
By the way, if any of you haven’t seen Guardians Volume 3 and Across the Spider-Verse yet, I can’t wait for your reactions.

Despite another unnecessary 30-plus minute episode, this episode was banging!
The level of intensity in this episode is amazing! This show is truly on a different planet compared to previous shows.

Also, it's really great to see a different side of Nick Fury after 15 years in the MCU. Damn, you LOVE to see it.
With one more episode to go, I may not know how everything will finish up, but I am oh, so excited for the finale.
Again, fingers cross we get a Season 2.
By the way, the person that met Fury in the jet is Rick Mason, played by O-T Fagbenle, from the Black Widow movie.

7:58 Because Gravik was never really doing what he was doing for a new home. He did what he did because he wanted to be super--Gravik seems to be very much like Syndrome from the Incredibles.
Gravik came to Earth in his pre-teen years, he would have grown up during the Avengers time, watching them defeat Chitari, Loki, the Dark Elves and than Thanos' Outriders, the Children of Thanos and Thanos himself. While Gravik might have despised humans, he pretty clearly admired the powers. His people are a defeated people, a people who have no hero, and he wanted to be that hero for them, well sort of, he wants to be powerful, a commander, their ruler, really. You heard him himself tell his soldiers that they were faceless, nameless. In other words, expendable.
We don't really know Gravik's past, but I'm starting to think that his parents are of Emperor Drogge's colony, the group of Skrulls Talos didn't contact--we heard from Varra that Gravik's parents died fighting the Kree and that Gravik piloted a stolen ship and found his way to Earth. With the Skrulls scattered across the universe and no place to call home, they weren't about to send this young skrull away. They welcomed as if he was their own child--the meeting with the council would suggest that Skrulls see themselves as one big family given that they call each other brother and sister even though they might not be biologically related.
Anyway, like Buddy Pine (Syndrome), Gravik grew up during the area of Superheros. He would have been too young to help them during their prime, and as his only ability was shapeshifting, he had nothing to really offer them, so he wouldn't have been able to join them anyway. Maybe he tried to join and Fury told him no, and perhaps that's why he's taking everything out on Fury. I'm not so sure this is all about a new home or even a little bit, as we now know he was focused on securing the Harvest. He was after that from the beginning, and it seems like Fury always knew! And that leads me to believe that he and Maria Hill worked together and faked her death! We learn in this story that Fury moved the Harvest! How did he move the Harvest with so many eyes on him? By having a dead person do it for you! Why would Gravik have people watching Maria if she was thought to be dead? That's my theory anyway.

11:23 This must be Damage Control, the new government agency we saw in Homecoming that was backed by Tony Stark. Adrian Toomes likely made Congress give them more powers to prevent what he did from happening again. In this case however, Fury and his team, went in to take something away from Damage Control, because I assume he wanted to keep it away from the Army and folks like Ross who are always trying to make the perfect soldier who'll follow orders. I don't think Fury was trying to do something nefarious, that's not his character, but he knows the government he works for, and we already know the type of person Ross is and we're learning about the type of person Val is now too.
11:53 But how much of that blood would be useful? Carol Danvers would be at the top of that list sure. And next would likely be the Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes, T'Challa, Wanda Maximoff and Thor. We were told the Skrulls were immune to radiation, so would they even be able to use Bruce's blood? His radiated blood aggressively takes over a person's immune system making them it, but if you're immune to radiation, shouldn't your immune system neutralize Bruce's blood? Super Soldier serum is something the Skrulls wanted and we saw this with the Power Broker, but how would that help an alien that already has superhuman strength? Dr. Erskine's formula only works on people with a morally centered compos! His formula person makes a person more of what they are, so an unhinged person like Gravik will become a person more like Red Skull. Wanda's a witch and in the MCU Witches are people born with a natural connection to magic, but as we saw in WandaVision, you need to be taught to learn to use it, so that might not have worked out well for Gravik. The Heart-shaped herb from Wakanda is on par with Dr. Erskine's formula if not better, as there is no negative side effect, but what good is this to someone already strong? Thor's DNA shouldn't work in anyone but himself. We learned in Love and Thunder that a god's power come from those who worship them--Asgardians don't worship Skrulls! Asgardian isn't a place, it's a people. As long as their is at least one Asgardian that believes in Thor, he'll have his power. I don't think Thor's power could be channeled through another person unless Thor wills it like he did the Asgardian children during his battle with Gorr, but even then, like Jane, their power came from their enchanted weapons--Thor made a point to say that the children were Asgardian children during his last battle and he enchanted their weapons which gave them his powers. Thors powers, apparently, can only be used by Asgardians. Jane was able to use it because of Thor's enchantment on Mjolnir, but it was killing Jane in the process as she was not Asgardian.
Anyway, Carol's powers might be the only worthwhile power for Gravik. Had he had her powers, what he argued with Pagon would have been True, as her powers would have been more than enough to handle the President's security.

13:15 Who did he call? That person was with him from the beginning. Maria Hill? Had the Winter Soldier been a TV series, Samuel L. Jackson would have gotten a Special Guest star tag to since he died early on in the movie and we didn't see him again until the last act. I think we're going to see Maria come back in a similar manner here. The second episode recaps the ending of the first episode, and for a moment when Fury is holding Maria, it sort of felt like he injected her with something. Maybe the same thing he was injected with to make people think he too had died. Fury had confirmation that Gravik was the Skrull planning these attacks, he saw him with his own eyes and he knew then what Gravik was up to, Maria did too, and they acted quickly. Fury was always three steps ahead, but I think he needed to see how far this all went--he needed to pull up the roots.
It would be awesome if at the end of the episode the person that he called was daisy Johnson

Tbh, Moon Knight and even Falcon and The Winter Soldier were more brutal than this. Falcon killed so many people in the opening sequence in the first episode
It sucks that episode 5 is when things START to get heated up cause this show, realistically, has been so mediocre thus far. Id probably watch a show about the British Woman cause Im only excited to see her and Fury on screen. Im sure things will pop off next episode, but Im not sure that'll be enough to save this show from just a mediocre rating. No one's excited about it, and no one'll miss it when it's over
