I have a couple of pitch hoppers that I use for steep work and then have a chicken hook for the really steep ones. other guys, contractors mostly, use a Goat but those are crazy expensive and it takes a long time to recoup the cost. Every time I use ladder assist, I end up regretting it. But, I will throw in the towel when I get on a roof with 14/12 or higher...

It does, actually. Also makes you safer.
