Dude the maid outfit looks so good! You totally pulled it off. This animation is so beautiful too
much appreciated my dude, means a lot coming from you
I swear I have
I was Howling laughing after read this exchange, and then realized this comment was made by THE FORREST 101
SO SMOOTH, INDEED :-D
@@mootroidXproductions why the fuck didn’t we fight that thing!?
“This was never supposed to happen”
Never underestimate human will, Mootroid
My KING 👑
It was so much fun following along on the production of the Banished Prototype and being completely blown away by the end product! I absolutely adore the practical effects and lighting and it's always a blast getting a deeper look into the behind the scenes with your breakdown videos, they're always some of my favorites :)
I have you to thank for getting me into Halo Mega sets, and I can't wait to see what's next!
(Also you're totally rocking the maid outfit, hell yea)
thank you so much king
you better pick up that new banished phantom coming out soon
Bro I thought the light tube was digital effects, surprised to find out it was real. Also, that perspective trick with the laser was sick. And as always I'm impressed to see how well you work with the limitations of these toy sets, God bless.
I first found this channel due to The Sky Below being recommended to me. I could not be happier about finding a channel. Your work is genuinely amazing, and unlike most things I like, actually is EXACTLY the type of stuff I'd make if I knew how.
I hope you understand: View counts don't matter. As long as you're entertaining people, or better yet, enjoying yourself, you're doing it right. If you truly enjoy doing what you do, please continue. I'll be watching avidly.
I honestly sometimes like the behind the scenes stuff more than the actual video cause there’s just so much stuff to learn. And also
Do you ever wonder when your fans will stop asking for the last colony?
they will stop when it's finally finished
@@mootroidXproductions then they will ask for part 4, even if there will never be a part 4
@@mootroidXproductions will part 3 be the last episode?
@@xtreviousproductions680 that is correct
Too bad run time in this vid was devoted to a dude in a dress tho
The man actually did it…. Bravo sir.
Just found your stuff recently and friggin christ...I'm utterly blown away by that video! And kudos to manning up with the maid outfit haha! The action was sickeningly awesome, and the practical effects were off-the-charts amazing. Also, curious about the frame rate(s) you used too shoot this.
Also, I'm blaming you for my new big purchase of Halo Mega Construx stuff 🤣
Thank you so much! Glad you found this helpful! I always shoot at 15 FPS. Also, feel free to mention that last tidbit to Mega.
The best animation I've seen and my favorite without a doubt, it shows all the work and dedication you put into the video congratulations, great video 💯🔥🔥
Love the drip
Him in the maiden suit is the funniest thing I have see. 😂😆
Yeah it's 20 minutes long but I'm watching it ALL.
This animation is almost as beautiful as you in a maid costume. But no really this film was super fantastic and I look back on it quite often. Thank you for the behind the scenes it's kinda cool to see how all your effects for this are super practical. I used lightsabers too for light and shake the camera for my fancy "motion blur" as well. It's just nice to know that an animator I look up doesn't do amazing work just due to equipment but due to experience. Anyway congrats on all this. Till next time :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad these are helpful for you! And yeah- so much of stop motion is just knowledge of a bunch of obscure techniques!
Excellent! We've awaited long for this! 💯 You low-key rock the costume 😎🤣
Now watching this video, i’ve gone back to the Banish Prototype video, and noticed E V E R Y T H I N G LOL
19:06 Is that a custom MegaConstrux Samus!!! That is freaking awesome!!! I want one!
Can I be honest I thought the big lasers from the prototype were put in post
heh, that's a high complement
YES it’s here
omg he dressed up xD
Kumo Rocks, that's a deep cut
This video was amazing!!! I hope to see more behind the scenes!!
the best halo stop motion ive ever seen and i mean that literally
knowing you since the early days, losing contact then watching you on a maid custome, Life comes finally at full circle
Bro YOU CUT THE FUCKING SETS APART you have to be crazy and have to have balls for it AND I RESPECT THAT
Love these BTS videos, you're like a stop motion sage in a maid costume. I learned so much from this.
Had too have been the best halo stop motion i have ever seen
Ghost would be proud. Very human of you
16:33 "Oh how it pains me to do this” starscream
You are seriously the best animator on UA-cam
super mega amazing
rule #1 of youtube. never spite the algorithm.
You’re an absolute inspiration, thank you so much for everything you do! Getting to see the behind the scenes of your incredible work is always a pleasure. Stay cool, my dude.
owo
When I do practical effects on blood I use clay to animate the splatter going everywhere and when it is done splattering I paint the victim red where he got shot and I paint the floor or the wall red to show blood on the floor. By the way nice maid costume!
It’s absolutely vile how little appreciation I get for this stuff! This is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!
Very interesting and informative. I think the patience, attention to detail and the experience to work around a problem really comes out.
YES
1:35 The eyeshine makes this 100x more menacing.
The attention for detail that went not only into the design and the sets, but in the whole production is breathtaking and inspiring! I hope you have a big career ahead of you and I hope you stay as ahrp and whitty too. Big respect!!!
Dude I love how much love and effort people put into these! I honestly hate how UA-cam just screws over animators all the time, because it makes people think that quantity is better than quality! Great video and keep up the awesome work!
Yeah
And yes I’m a year late
I loved the animation that's why I subscribed, I really like all the stopmotion mega construx halo or call of duty animations, apart from the fact that I found those little lights very curious
As always nice job on the animation itself and the behind the scenes videos are so great! For blood splatter you could try using washable markers, fake blood or clay. Love your breakdown of all the practical effects, music and theory behind the shots. Nice work man!
I heard your cry charlie!! I'll try and design something for them ankles!! since we talked i have actually prototypes and bought a few different resins for this, I'll keep you posted!
Dude because of you I actually started making stop motions .Thank you thank you so much 🤩🤩🤩🤩
aw man that makes me so happy
@@mootroidXproductions but my God I actually didn't know that head for the hunter was a destiny head from you know from that game that I don't know how many people play
But I actually thought it was custom
Very cool to see your behind the scenes! TONS of hard work!
I'm an impatient man, when i heard an intro i skipped forward to 3:37.
Without any time to realise, the first thing i saw was a bearded dude as a cat maid, talking about a moc next to a fire
This was very informative. Thank you.
I'm amazed by the work you put into the making of that video! And also your other videos in general! Also, mad respect for going the extra mile, by destroying your Figures and stuff for the action scenes. If I were to ever make my own stop motion videos, that would be one thing I wouldn't have the strength to do.
Also, damn... It sucks that the algorithm didn't want to recommend your videos... It should be ashamed for not recommending them.. But I'm glad that you still managed to have your projects be seen by others, despite the algorithm being a thing that exists.
Also, I like your sense of humor. It's pretty funny xD
This is a really well-explained video on your process. I did notice that the sound design was all copyright-free
If you want, the Valve games have all sorts of sounds that I believe can be used in animations. Especially the Dota 2 sounds which are chalk full of quality sword clangs and swings.
I love all the clever ways you used practical effects!!
I also love that you gave some lore to the Prototype; I can definitely see it existing somewhere in Halo.
Hello I’m just getting into editing on my pc and using a web cam for photos but I have no god’s damn clue what apps to use. is it possible
You can tell me what apps you use.
After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop
if you want a cheaper effects program, try Apple Motion
@@mootroidXproductions thanks
Hey, somewhat unrelated to the video, and I know I'm 3 days late to the party so you might not see this, but you have been a huge inspiration in my life and I just thought that you'd want to hear that from someone, maybe. I've been watching your stuff since the Red Ranger Valentines video many years ago, and I have loved every second of it. I have appreciated stop-motion for a long section of my life, probably since I was 10 since I really loved Godzilla then (and still do) and when I had no more official material to watch, I had to find fan projects online, normally my favorites being stop-motions from channels like A.Sousa productions and other Godzilla focused channels.
So for a long time I had been a fan of stop-motion, but once I found your channel for some reason something clicked. I think it is because many other channels tried to hide the creator behind the projects, just focusing on the work itself instead of the person making it. And while that is respectable, it made these projects seemingly impossible to my young mind. I adored how they were made, but really had no idea that I could be doing it too. But it has been your videos that gave me the drive to get started, even before your bts videos that have been coming out recently, it always felt like there was more of a passion in these videos than in videos by other creators I knew of. Again, not discrediting those people, just to say it's always felt like you cared about it, it's like you were making something that you wanted to see, not something for other people to watch.
While it may sound like I am unintentionally insulting you by appreciating that you do things for yourself, somehow implying you are selfish or something like that, it is the opposite. While I always enjoy movies, I feel like the most popular films have been the ones that are the most soulless. They are films made for fans, not made for the people who truly want to see something made, the creators. Fans are great and all, but they demand the same things always, products, not people. And therefore I really don't appreciate films made like this, like much of the slasher genre, the MCU, and other huge fads that have come and passed, because they never felt personal.
I appreciate your work because it *does* feel like you care, maybe too much, which is in my eyes, somewhat necessary when you are an animator. Unfortunately, I have always been a lazy shit. Well organized, and good at getting things done when I set my mind to it, but rarely setting my mind to it unless grades are involved. While I have tried for years to curb myself towards being more driven, I feel like it is one of my biggest problems and probably will be for a long time.
But, finally getting to the point of this 12 page essay, I just wanted to say thanks. I probably would not drive myself as much if not for people like you who make these fantastic and creative works seem the tiniest bit achievable. I often shit on my accomplishments, and therefore I just decide to not try instead of pushing myself because I believe the result of my hard work will be unimpressive anyways when all is said and done. But you give me hope that maybe I too could be an underappreciated master of animation too someday, despite my near-constant lack of drive.
Oh also one more thing, your Swordbreaker animation is actually what HEAVILY inspired me to make the current animation I am working on, so if you're interested in seeing it, it should be done in about 1-2 months on the channel I am commenting with if I am able to stick to a schedule for once. Currently I am about 1/6th done with it. Not trying to self promote or anything, just love your work and wanted to pay homage to it in my own way, even if my project might end up being trash..
TL;DR: I write too much and I am basically saying that I have loved your animations since I was a kid, and that I hope to one day reach the same level of effort and care that you have for your projects for my own projects. Thanks for everything you've made, I'll always be here to see more of whatever you make.
I wish I had the brainpower to give you as much of impassioned response as you deserve. I hear you and I see you. Most of all, I think you nailed it. I make my films for me, and no one else. It just so happens that a bunch of people seem to like the films I want to see.
Also, gonna let you in on a secret- I am also a lazy piece of crap. It's extremely rare that I find the motivation to work on something for a few days in a row. Pexachu was a 2-minute video that took me two years because I'd only work on it for an hour at a time every few days. It's not the constant grind. That's unhealthy. It's the dedication. It's okay to slack off when you get burned out, but always finish what you start if you really love it. That said, don't be afraid to abandon a project if you wind up hating it. If you feel like you HAVE to make art, it won't be half as good as if you WANT to make art.
Thank you for the comment. This made my day. I wish you the best of luck.
I love how he used MGR Jetstream Sam's theme for this vid's intro
I thought the green robot was the banished Prototype 💘💚🧡💚🥰🤍🥰😀💝💖💝💙
Really entertaining video 👍
i love how the prototype looks!
I'm amazed the fight wasn't animated to the music, it fit so well!
urely awesome.
The level of creativity required..
Marvellous
This was absolutely awesome. I want to learn how to do stop motion….but I’m nervous to do so…..
This was absolutely brilliant, love your work.
This just made my day
This maid my day
More videos please I love this channel
Thank you, father, for this, I love you! You are my idol
The animation of that vid was amazing
That metal gear rising music in the background, Makes it 100000000000000× cooler than badically everything
I was sent here by The Act Man and I’m glad to be here keep up the 🔥 videos
This absolute legend.
The Video looks SO fucking cool, Maybe you can do that mek vs Hunter fight again but with TWO hunters. or with a unseen forerunner Sentinel
Amazing work man!! Not gonna lie, make me want pick stop motion again with some of my action figures!
Serious hope I see more creations from you but also please make a flood animation one
i plan on it!
I don't know to feel because he was my role model for year's but I'm totally using his advice
you know what you have to wear now
Hell yeah! This is beautiful
I have been subscribed for a while, but have been neglecting going through your library of works. I'm really impressed by what you've done and wish I had the patience for it. I have close to 120 custom figures that I've done everything from just snapping together various parts to custom cutting and molding bits together using everything from old action figure parts to gunpla model parts to achieve these unique characters. It's got me wondering how much non-halo stuff you're willing to do.
And the second I hit enter, I see the Samus figure. I fucking want one of those.
Something that you could do to not destroy the hunter is that you can add goo on the hunter ball joint then lit the bass joint and add goo then super glue the ball joint together but that’s is good either way.
I totally could have done that, yeah, but it feels so much more violent to actually see that poor thing getting ripped in half.
Not to Poot thing as it’s killing chief with a smile
“Don’t make bets you’re not prepared to loose…”
-Me, a month ago.
I......I have no words for the maid outfit. But hot damn I love love love your stop motion. I've seen so many in my life. Some great an well some not so but I understand they try and that's all that matters. But this? It's seriously in my top five favourite.
Yes
I’m glad you liked most of the fight scenes you did in that animation cause man cause that was amazing except the walk cycle, I wish you luck with the rest of the algorithm and survival I’ll be around for a while even tho I don’t comment much (also wanna guess when I found you if you respond? Or see this)
my guess: pexachu OR the last colony part 1
@@mootroidXproductions so I just checked turns out it was last stand so you were close I guess
Absolute madman destroying his figures for one scene
I loved this video is really helped me with techniques and is getting me closer and closer to start my own youtube channel! I just have 1 question though, where do you get all of those very bright lights from?
It's been 3 years...still no sight of"The last colony part 3"...
i wonder if you enjoyed the video you just watched
@@mootroidXproductions Oh I did...I just miss the good ol days
I'mm surprised you haven't done any latex molds to make stunt parts to destroy/paint up for scenes rather than one off part destruction shots, especially with things like that hunter. Something you could just build a rough version of and then destroy, basecoat, and throw an airbrushing of color on to make look about right.
Always amazing
Your a artist
Absolute legend
The hero we didn’t know we needed
MAID DRESS LETS FUCKING GOOOO!!!!
This is so good
14:13 there many moving parts jack, cant fret over one of them
Wow I like this advice and um I guess good maid costume so yeah
so damn helpful, thank you
YEAH
Gotta get back to this video later, but leaving a comment for the algorithm
Man I kinda wish we got a more in depth description of how you made the mech for Chief.
Why can I only like a video once lmaooo
Heya I just want the world to know that I've cited this video as a source in a school project.
you are a legend
Update: I got like an 80%.
the glowing eyes is terrifying
I love this
Never underestimate a maid
Underesti-maid
Hell yeah charlie!
This is really funny but at the same time you did deserve your work should be pushed out there and I like how Master Chief in the actual animation did a double-tap and I could imagine him saying "Yeah no I just almost died at several points of this battle I'm making sure you're dead" *Shoots it's head one time* that was probably the funniest part about that animation.
Ok so I rewatched the last collony, and I’m happy you didn’t continue it, banished prototype is way better.
