Beatboxing is an art, as artists we want to be able to express ourselves freely and share what we love. As a beatboxer it kills me to see an entire gender shunned from the art because "the bass isn't low enough" or "she's not as good as reeps one or alem", get over yourselves. We can't all be the best in the world, we can just help each other progress this amazing artform. We want to built community, not divide ourselves. Peace. Love. Beatbox. Oh and I can't forget... Compare them all you want, but what it comes down to...beatbox is an art, not a contest..it doesn't matter who's winning or who's better, it's about the community, it's about making this art more than it was... like I said, why try and divide when our goal is community. The problem with a few of the comments below that I've been seeing is simple. The simple fact is girls feel that beatbox is too 'masculine' and that they shouldn't do it. Chest bass, throat bass, lip rolls are too powerful and therefore masculine. No, that isn't true. Yes males have larger VSA and lung capacities near their prime but in no way does that make you incompetent. What the girls should also know is that beatboxing is an expression of art. Yes there are technicalities such as triple snares and fast routines that need to be learned but every person's technique will sound different. As long as you love it, keep doing it. The moment you decided to beatbox, you belong to the beatbox family and in no way shape or form do I think that anyone in the community has the right to say, "You're not good enough." It's just how we people are bilogically made. Unless there were some sort of hormonal imbalance or the like. But skillswise, I think this girl did a good job. "since guys have a wider vocal range especially in doing low notes" There's actually very little difference between an average pitched male voice and average female voice and the vocal range is quite the same, men can handle 50hz better at decent volume while females drop below usable at 60 and the things are reversed at around 5khz where females can hold and men can't without using falsetto. The big difference that you think exists between a male's and a female's voice actually comes through education and social behavior, it's a constant exercise that almost every human does since puberty and on and sometimes even earlier, men by limiting their upper voice register to sound more masculine and females by avoiding touching the low frequencies and emphasizing on the upper register to sound sexy.
It's crazy how much the beatbox scene is evolving, it's growing. It's spreading. Massive talent here, massive love to the world beatbox family! Keep doing what you're doing!

She's one of the best I've heard. Her and Gene Shinozaki are really great. They hold awesome rhythm and I dunno how the judges judge but I think if you beatbox like this and your able to make it actually sound like an actual song then you win. Thats amazing. Not everyone can do that, and the others I've watched don't do it. though they can do amazing things with their voices they still are short of what this girl can do. I mean she just sounds awesome. If she produces her own music for the world like albums I'd buy them. Beatbox they do now is still astounding, don't get me wrong, but I really like beatboxers like her.
