I was born and raised here. Theres little to nothing to do in the AV so I played videogames all my childhood. I still do, because I still live here. It sucks.
As someone who grew up in the AV, do yourself a favor and don't move there.

I see you edited your original comment from Cora & Huichol to Cora & Yaqui. I've lived in Lancaster since 1972 and never heard of Cora and Huichol tribe from Lancaster, and I apologize if I have misunderstood your comment. I did do my research and Cora and Huichol tribe originate from Mexico, around Jalisco and Nayarit. I am also Navajo, my mom Navajo and my father was Quechan. Again I apologize for any misunderstanding.

High crime rate in Lancaster, it’s crazy there now.
Lancaster is more about the people than the geographical side of it. The weather is extreme there's no doubt about that, mf if it ain't too cold it's too hot, I agree with spring being the best time. Btw if your in east Lancaster and looking for a trailer park, look no further than east ave I. In my opinion the most active and more crazy part of town.
You forgot about one of the biggest homeless populations, even recent murders are up. I lived here since 1972 and it was awesome till about 2001-2002.
Yeah that is about when it changed. I lived here from around 1986 to 2008. It was such a nice place to live at one time. I have fond memories of living on West Ave J and 31st. But it went to literally hell after the early 2000s shootings nightly, police going by all the time throughout the entire night, and the helicopter, ambulances it got to were I needed those sounds for years to fall asleep because I got so used to hearing them.

Lived there 20 years... Don't forget the wind... All the trees in Lancaster City Park lean to the east for a reason.
Yup 2020 was 15 inches of snow in neenach.
Here in Kentucky it is so cold during winter, and we get bad winter storm.

I lived in Lancaster for 6 months the only thing good there is Doublz. My aunt tricked me saying she lived in LA. I flew in to LA she failed to mention that she lived a hour north of LA in a dust bucket town in the middle of nowhere called Lancaster lol. I think people move there because it's cheaper and people can't afford to live in LA. Not much to do there unless you like riding ATV's, hanging out at Wal-Mart, or AV Mall lol. You do have the gangsters that got ran out of LA that run the east side of town.

I went to Doublz and got their chicken sandwich because it was next door to Popeye's. Long story short, it was fine until I got to the middle and struck a thick vein of gristle. That and a poor example of a Philly cheese steak make it hard for me to trust that place implicitly. They're pretty good for some things.
Doublz is big brain food.

An ex-friend of mine seduced a guy she met then talked him into joining the military and into marring her just so she can escape from Lancaster; the marriage didn't last more than a year and the guy went AWOL then he asked her for a divorce, but at least she was able to get out of Lancaster, 😂😂😂 the place was that bad. Her three younger sisters thought she had super hero tactics... 😂😂😂

Born and raised out here. Pretty much boring, Hot asf, trash ass public schools. Especially piute middle school, I'm in high-school now. Focusing on the culinary industry then once I get money, I'm pretty much leaving Lancaster.
Don't listen to him, this place is cursed, if you move your you'll never move out.

This is damn true it’s been 4 years since I got out of Lancaster but everything keeps trying to bring us back ain’t a week I go by without saying how bad it was but here I am searching it back up just to see it again if you ever get out take some sand with you because it feels like it wants to pull you back to it

lancaster isn't a great place to live if you have little kids. it isn't super safe. palmdale would be a better option but there isn't a lot to do out here though,

I have been living out here in Lancaster for 4 years I would say four years too long I want out of this joint the only thing that I like out here is the skies and the Ravens there's not a whole lot to do and when the heat comes it's like the Gates of Hell have been opened the majority of the time when I'm sitting out on the balcony the constant sound of ambulance and Sheriff's sirens very seldomly will you have complete silence and when you do it gives you the strangest feeling like something's going to happen and yes the Sonic booms if you are not aware of it which when I first moved out here I was like what the heck was that not only do you hear them you feel them as though it was an explosion and definitely the area I live is not good people don't take pride in their areas trash tires just dumped a lot of crime take a look FB join AV scanner and see all the crime committed if you do decide to move here moving to more expensive area unfortunately I'm in the middle the Duck and Cover section 🤦♀️🤷♀️

I lived here on ave - J and 31 st west. For about 26 years of my life. I would never wish this place on anyone. The crime and the police are both just as bad. I now live in Iceland. The farthest away from America I could get. haha.

I've lived in Lancaster Ca. for 10Years. It's a hell of a lot better than most of L.A. I do live on the west side, which is suppose to be the best side. East side in most cities is the worst side. We have every store that most cities have. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Don't forget, it's the high desert. It's not a bad place to live. Has great schools. Check it out sometime.
The AV in general isn't a good place unless you live in the really nice areas like Quatrz Hill. I have barely heard anything going on in Quartz Hill. In Lancaster across the train tracks gets bad until you keep going and it'll get good again. Stay out of Rosamond it's a dead end town with a bunch of kids who are trying to be gangsters and they're not. As far as Palmdale goes it's alright, but Palmdale and Lancaster are both getting worse. Many gangs are moving out there from L.A. it's going to become the next Chicago watch I know it. I've lived around the entire AV nearly my whole life all in the hoods of Palmdale, Lancaster, and Rosamond I just moved out from there recently up north and I like it.
Nah, Quartz Hill was a White Supremacists place so I don't think it's a " good place " when it's literally a ticking time bomb.

Nick i have two friends that move down there. One bought a lot and put a manufacture home 🏡 there. I'm thinking of doing the same. He said it has to have a sceptic tank or something like that. What would a lot in the good area across the freeway cost me?
It really depends on how close you want to be to the city and Los Angeles. Vacant land can go for anywhere between 30k to 250k and up depending how much land you want.

I am not sure. You will have to check with the school district.
Most state public ed requirement are the same but you can send the school your transcripts to have them evaluated.

The HUGE advantage here is still the house affordability vs LA. Downsides are lack of jobs being located in LA Country and a very high 10.25 sales tax rate effective April 2021 which has was voted in also in Palmdale. Hope this gets reversed in a future initiative by comparison the cities of Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks are only 7.25 sales tax rate (Ventura county).

Move to the West Side of Palmdale or to Desert View Highlands in Palmdale. Don't move to Lancaster.
@@amirfaiz8307 It's bad in most areas of Lancaster. Crime is more generalized throughout the area and even Quartz Hill- unincorporated Lancaster with big houses on large plots has had more crime issues than they should. There are some issues on the West side of Palmdale but much less than in Lancaster

You misconstrued what I said. When I talked about how the desert turns green during the spring it is in reference to the other seasons. Lancaster desert often gets covered in a carpet of green and yellow flowers, like little islands and like I said in the video Lancaster has some amazing poppies. For the schools it is all relative. I'm sure there are better school districts in Los Angeles County, but in the AV the schools I mentioned are some of the top rated. If schools are important and you a making a decision between moving to Rosamond and Lancaster then Lancaster might be a better choice.

I’m from Norwalk ( a lot closer to LA) and I’ve been to Lancaster a lot when younger and i remember it being such a boring city. Don’t know about now though.
Been living here for 4 years now. Definitely was a boring city when I moved out here. My parents liked it tho because wide road no traffic. 4 years later this shit the same as to where I used to live.
