    Loved the presentation. You make the simple things make sense. I'm sure light penetration has an effect too. Thank you for what do to help us all. Great channel . 👍

    This type of video is so much more helpful that watching someone catch crappie after crappie with no explanations or details. Looking forward to the next one.

    Matt, when I first got into serious crappie fishing I ran across this same video. Since many of my East Texas lakes are like glass #2 , I've been able to buy my plastics based on your presentation. Keep up the good work my friend ☺️

    Always informative! Keep it coming! It is monotonous to watch most UA-cam fishing videos. It’s like a Hallmark movie always same content and plot just different names and days. Most UA-cam fishing videos are look how many I caught. I can catch them and you can’t. We already know that. We watch to learn how. Most videos are not very helpful, but yours always are informative and engaging. Keep up the good work!!

    I saw this video from you before. I fish mostly the Mississippi river, and other dingy/muddy lakes Sardis and Enid and I must admit this video helped me tremendously on catching crappie. OUTSTANDING presentation!! I look forward to your presentations in this series and when you are just on the water because you are on point with the when, where and why for your choices. I still have an old "Color Selector" from the Roland Martin days (yes it's ancient) that I use to use but you clear up the gray areas in making selections

    I know this isn't the topic of the video, but what are your thoughts on crappie fishing in really cold winter water WITHOUT livescope? Like when all the crappie go really deep and you have to put the jigs right in front of them. Is it even worth time fishing in the winter without livescope, can you accomplish catching them that deep with regular down and side scan?

    • @WiredforCrappie
      @WiredforCrappie  Рік тому

      Absolutely. Fish Slow! Vertical presentations or float an a minnow.

    Love your videos bud. I've been a cat fisherman most of my life, and have recently started an interest in Crappie fishing. Being from the same town as you, the info is spot on for me. Especially with us fishing the same lakes. I kayak fish with no electronics. Any advice on locating with how much they've dropped the water level. I used to have good luck around docks, but most are now in just a couple feet of water.

    • @WiredforCrappie
      @WiredforCrappie  Рік тому +1

      That is awesome! Find the docks with water under them. The drop concentrates the fish even more. Also with the water down you can a lot of times see the tops of lay downs on the banks. Fish the deep side of the lake on laydowns. Fish the ends of the trees.
