The first variation uses five layers and is larger--designed to hang on a wall. It is relatively easy to build.
Piece Breakdown: 1x2 plates (198), 1x3 plates (6), 1x2 bricks (297), 1x3 bricks (9)
The second variation uses six layers and is smaller and more compact. It’s designed to sit on a desk or shelf. This build is much more difficult as it’s under a lot more tension.
Piece Breakdown: 1x2 plates (126), 1x3 plates (6), 1x2 bricks (252), 1x3 bricks (12)
Note/warning: I’m making the curved connections look relatively easy in this tutorial but I am very well practiced. It is challenging. It takes some strength to make those final bends and force them to connect. In theory you could do this build with 7 layers or more but making that bending connection gets increasingly difficult. Don’t attempt unless you’re willing to put in some muscle and put your bricks under some stress!

It has to happen off camera every now and then.
I've got a YT short of one of my fails, and you can see a nice post-credit fail on the medium azure curves build ('Perhaps the strangest LEGO builds ever'). I don't have fails all that often any more, but rest assured I'm always keen to share them when they happen. : )
That's why i wince anytime I see one of these. That and the brittle techniques and firm connections.
Dude these are all so cool I'm always so mesmerized, do you think you could make a video on all the basics and how you deconstruct (lol) the creations in your mind to figure out what the best plan of action would be ? The whole thought process intrigues me !

I just built my first one! My husband gave me this as a Christmas gift. I’ve been eyeballing and loving your work for years, ever since I walked into Bricks and Minifigs in Portland, Oregon with my then-3 year old and saw your work on the walls. It combines my love for Lego with my love for geometry and symmetry. I always wanted to know how you made these, I always wanted them all over the walls of my house and now I have my first one! I’m so happy you’re finding success with this and I can’t wait wait to do more of these in different and more complex shapes. Thank you so much!!!!
I just realized I faithfully watch and like all of your content, but rarely if ever comment, so decided to fix that today. How practical would it be to make/remake your channel logo as a kit?
You should be able to remake the logo with a couple of the kits
The inside part is definitely possible (and I think was in a previous video). I don't know how hard it would be to combine that with the outer circle, though.

Peekaboo caveman! I just love that lil guy😁 Brickbending should rank right up there with air, fire, and waterbending. As an Irish descendant, I fully approve of this build. This is probably going to be my first wall piece. Any suggestions on hanging it properly to keep it from going out of round or falling?
Thank you! Most of my builds are hung with a simple nail, as most are rigid and won't sag. This build in particular isn't very heavy, so it would easily hang and keep it's shape.

Can you make a spiral design by using a 1 x 2 modified stud or something else
I've made some very simple spirals with that plate, but nothing too radical. I'm happy to share everything that I've got over time.
For some reason this reminds me of bastion forts (probably could be built without much bending, tho').

Can you make the triquetra that's in the circle?
I can make a circle that sits around the Triquetra nicely, but they aren't connected. To make that really work I'd need bricks that don't exist yet. That's a future phase of the master plan. : )
