I remember Carl Fogarty setting the speed record in 1992 on the Loctite Yamaha FZR750R to 125mph. It stood for 7 years, which is mind blowing when you realize that nowadays in almost every single race a new record is set.
I think it would be very useful if someone could please explain the difference between Supersports und Supertwins. It is not that logic why a bike with 50cc more is that much slower.
Basically a supersport bike is typically a inline 3 or 4 cylinder engine with an engine size of either 675 or 600cc respectively where as the super twins only have 2 cylinders basically making the engine much less efficient and therefore quite a bit slower
Vtwins operate completely differently. This is why a 1800cc Honda cruiser is slower. Than a 600cc sport bike. Even in world Superbike the vtwins are allowed more displacement to make it up.
Inline 4 produce really high power at high rpm While the twin produce high power at low rpm This work for twin only, (side by side) The v configuration give equal power distribution, thats why old model panigale still use L 2 cylinder

They are bar end break/clutch lever protectors. As the name implies, they are to protect the levers in case of a side fall or a contact with external object
A bit late but Its a bar end protector Like its name suggest it protects the clutch or brake from being trigger from something outside the protector Really important in a race when you have other dude side by wide, in some case other racer can touch the brake and you know what happens when hard braking at 200kmh.
So how about the 675cc Triumph triple in the "600" supersport class, and isn't the Norton a 1200 V4? Are the old Norton rotaries allowed in the Senior and what happens if Ducati for example wanted to enter a 1299? Would that only be allowed in the Senior?? More questions than answers in that video.
675 triumph are legal in all supersport classes around the world. don't know about the new upsized triumph engines. Under FIM superbike rules 1199 would be legal. Norton's 1200 and a 1299 would need be a special waiver from the TT organizers

Nobody seems to be covering the TTZero and it's the same like last year with no full lap video from any of the teams. In this day and age nobody was able to strap a go pro behind the windshield and record a run. This is BS of the highest degree, I blame elitist petrol heads for this outrage.
There are certainly on board cameras on the Mugen, I expect they and ITV4 will be using the footage in their TV coverage. Maybe Mugen will then provide a full lap.
There is NOTHING on youtube from last year from them or any other team from Isle of Man TTZero. There is just 2 minutes videos mostly from the perspective of spectators. NOBODY IS RELEASING THE FOOTAGE. Wtf?
I know it, I'm talking about 2016 and this year. I've checked out all the old videos, I want new ones and nobody seems to be on it. If you got connections, find something out.

he said for (a) thousand cc
Subtitle sucks lol
For 1000 cc!!
I wish they had a 2 stroke class too. Just for giggles.
So do we - that smell!
Bennetts Bike and the sound
I Hate the smell hahaha. but i like old bikes.
That would indeed be awesome! Does anyone know if the Suter MMX500 is still competing in the superbike class? That was a real beast.
@@bennettsbikesocial you should make a video about how much does it cost to race at tt isle of man !
The Honda bikes are turned out so nicely! 😍😍😍
Ben Caldwell Now if only they can get the bikes to function properly..
Nice vid, would be cool to see a sidecars video as well.
great vids! thanks for making a video like this! really informative
You want to join the race?

You should do an Update on Bike Classes and rules
Deal. Will do ahead of the 2023 TT, including the new schedule with additional races.

Cus 675 is slower compared to other 600????
Do they use ABS? I know the road versions of a lot of these bikes have it, do these?
Monkey Wrench no
No mention of sidecars? wtf
Nice video thanks
Haha the new lap record is 135.4 mph it was set in last weeks senior race
Plus I think every race has a new lap record now
Bring back the 50s and 125s
Is there rider classes?
If you race at the TT are you allowed to strap on a go pro to your helmet?
Hahaha, do like a chill motovlog @ the tt
No, helmet gopros are usually not even allowed on amateur track days. Probably allowed to have gas tank and seat cowl mounts tho.
I though they run Time attack shootouts aswell, not just practice and races?
The race is a time trial.

Those are average speeds of the lap records.
