No it didn't I still makes perfect sense, instead of Desmond dying in Assassins Creed 3 he was set into the grey a virtual reality plane that connects to all the ISU technology and also modern technology like the internet, the game never stopped making sense people just stop playing the game after a certain point because they felt their opinions over the game was more important than the people who are actually trying to write a storyline that has become one of the largest franchises in the gaming world that has been around for over 15 years with 12 main titles and 17 spinoffs that all connect the storylines usually people just pay attention to the game videos and say they know the storyline but there is more then just video storytime there are documents in the modern worlds in every Assassins Creed game that you have to find and or decipher, in the last three games they literally gave they main character Layla a laptop they she can use to look at all her discoveries while in the Animus from ISU sites and it gives a whole nother dialogue of storyline that connects to all Assassins Creed. I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude or anything but when you say the game's stop making sense you've literally proven to me and other actual fans of the franchise that you don't know what you're talking about.

It's ridiculous Ubisoft is still milking the Ezio - Desmond IP. It's downright insencere. They had no business using that track from AC Revelations. This is why I don't play newer AC games. It insults the meaning and seriousness of the old soundtrack and story.
Ubi did not need to animate his mouth for the dialogue, which makes me think they don't even do manual lip-synch animation anymore, but that it's automated for most cutscenes.
