Fully agree. I've got an E36 Z3 and even though it's a non-M it is undeniably the most "fun" car I've ever driven. I drove a McLaren 720S that was obviously ridiculously fast and impressive, and I daily-drove an E90 for a year which was awesome to cruise and road-trip in, and a ton of different stuff in between including a Miata, C5 Corvette, FK8 Civic Type R, etc, but the Z3 has this unfiltered joy in a way I haven't experienced the same way in any of those. The E36 chassis is utterly brilliant as a tool for generating happiness.
Whats apparent more so than the car is the owner. That was sheer admiration and passion for the car, that's what makes this community so special. Well bought, well maintained and most certainly well owned good sir, bid you many smiles per mile. BMW Ms are a breed apart, cherish them.
Yes! It's not always about the car. It's about the passion from the owner and the love/care he brings to his car. Macky's is very much known locally as Mr. E36.
@@kent570253 Last time I had it in, the service manager showed me the video from the service bays when they drove my e36 through, every tech stopped what they were doing and watched it drive by, it was quite funny.
Have owned my E36 M3/4/5 for 10 yrs and have done all maintenance myself. The S52 engine is bulletproof, the shifting so smooth and such good balance. I have driven an E46 w the S54 and I like the E36 much better! Best upgrades: Stage 2 clutch w SMF and Stromung exhaust. Drives and sounds amazing!!
@@SharkBlueMedia Try it you will not be disappointed. Engine revs so freely with the Gripforce Stage 2 Kit w SMF. The sound of the Stromung is perfect. Not too loud and slightly louder than stock.
What difference do you feel with the single mass flywheel? I'll be doing the clutch on mine soon enough and have contemplated it but always been afraid to lose the smoothness of the dual mass setup.
@@johnpearson492 I’ve had both the DMF and SMF in my E36. The SMF stage adds about 30% increased clutch pedal effort, which can be brutal if its a daily driver. Especially in stop and go traffic. The OEM Luk DMF and Sachs Clutch is ultra light and great for daily use. SMF will be noisy in the trans. DMF is ultra quiet.
At first glance, I thought it was just another regular E36 with clean aftermarket wheels. Then, I saw the engine. This thing's a sleeper! And is probably rarer than the M3 coupe.
Always much love for any e36 forever, and any e36 M3 looks hecka dope. By dumb luck I ended up with a 318is e30. I have no reservations saying that i will never need to buy another car as well. Thanks for the video. It was inspiring as a forever owner myself. Cheers

Beautiful. looks like the euro spec we didnt get here in the usa, we got the neutered version, with that being said if we did receive the euro spec the rest of the world got im sure it would be a highly sought after like the e46. imho
Did you get the Euro spec car in Philipines when they were new? I noticed the bits on the light lens to cover the wrong side of the road. Is it a 3.0 or 3.2?
Any mint E36 is a keeper, but an E36 M3 is an irreplaceable gem. Beautiful car. Kudos to the owner for keeping it in great shape!
Indeed! Macky is very lucky to get his hands on a mint one and he's been keeping good care of it ever since.

E36 M3's are absolute gems of a car. I've had mine for many years, and it's reaching 300,000 miles! And I'll drive her for 300,000 more.
300,000 miles is quite a number! Really just goes to show how well these cars are made.

I have the same car. Bought from original owner 18 years ago. I love it!
My E36 was my favourite car ever. I've had E46, E90, F22 and worked at a BMW dealership for almost 4 years as a tech. The e36 is something.
The E36 is a true classic!
I take my e36 M3 to the local BMW dealer every year for its state inspection, the excitement of the techs is just wonderful when they see it.
@@johnpearson492 Yeah mate, most techs where I worked were big fans of E30 and E36. They are suck great cars.

Yes, a nice US spec with the S50 engine!
