@@RatherBeRestoring im actually using the type s 310cc injectors but I do believe you would be able to get away with the A3 270cc injectors without issues.
jdmjedi777 cool. I actually tried to order a set of type s injectors on eBay for a ridiculous deal ($40 for the PRB type s intake WITH stock injectors!!) but of course my luck it got stopped by USPS due to smelling like gas so I got a refund and they wouldn’t ship it any further, it’s in Washington currently 😜 I then ended up getting a great deal on some used OEM RDX 410s that brought to InjectorRX in Houston to flow test and they’re 👍
@@RatherBeRestoring that sucks about the type s injectors getting stopped by ups but with the RDX injectors they should even give you room to run E85 if you wanted so thats awesome!
Thanks for the video and knowledge man, a lot of people dislike the A3, but it’s a good budget option and seems to yield reasonable numbers for the money you put into it.
The ONLY reason the a3 is “disliked” is because of its lack of vtec on both cams. Otherwise, everybody & their mama would be swapping these motors. Theyre so common at junkyards. You can realiably make 250wheel for a daily driver on boost. If you average out a build for a k swap utilizing a k20a3, you’re looking at a maximum budget of $3000.
Thanks man! I know it took a long time but it was a big project and I really only have one day a week on average thats free to work on it. I promise I'm gonna do my best to upload more regularly and keep the content interesting. Going to get the car out to import faceoff on may 2nd and show you guys what this thing can do!
This some clean ass shit man. I had a k24a8 5 speed auto 7th Gen accord sedan. It had headers, short ram and a full exhaust system. I didn't do anything tuning wise, we all know them 5 spd autos were dog shit so I just sold it for a 6-6. My Boi has one of these base rsx's. It's no where near as built as this one but he's planning on going to a k24a2. But rn Its running a hondata basemap w an rbc intake manifold, swapped the 5 speed manual tranny to the a 6 speed from a type s, headers, and a whole single exit 3 inch, as well as him gutting the entire interior. I have a much higher performance ceiling on paper because my 6-6 isn't full bolt on and just had intake and exhaust. It still has a full interior and stuff in the trunk, but seeing that 2.0 economy motor w stock internals take off like that makes a mf wanna wanna full Send on my 6mt. Shieettt, the videos on my channel. If my k24a8 sedan was a 5 spd manual, I prolly would've kept that jawn and turbod it. Good shit doe.
@jdmjedi777, after MUCH searching on the internet I STILL was unable to find a conclusive answer on running Lost Motion springs/assembly on K series w/ locked VTEC. Did you delete the LMA’s on your Vtec killer build? Thanks in advance
The trick is using k20a3 exhaust rockers on both the intake and exhaust side. Here is my video showing exactly how I built my vtec killer head and what parts you are able to use. Also the slight modifications you need to make to some of the rocker assembly for clearance. ua-cam.com/video/nIKzkyhZYNY/v-deo.htmlsi=Y5mYMsEqZ8JyC0ka
I can't remember the exact budget but I believe I go over how much I spent in my first video covering this build. The exhaust is a big tube swap header with a full 3 inch exhaust. Redline was at 8600 but I brought it down to 8400 recently to be a little safer. And yes you definitely need kpro for this type of build.
@@jdmjedi777 would you say this is a good daily set up? I have an ep3 and kpro should be here any day now. From the sounds of it all I need is a2 cams exhaust rockers.
You are going to need k-pro and to get it tuned. Unfortunately there is no way this will ever properly run on a stock ecu. My best advice is to not drive the car until you have done that. I hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions you have.
Sup man, quick question, what all stuff did you need to put the k swap in there? I’ve got a k20a3 + trans on a pallet in my garage waiting to be plopped into my hatch, but Hybrid wanted like 6k for all the stuff to drop it in there.
if you are mechanically inclined, you can absolutely get the engine in there and running for less than 6k. so its kind of a difficult question to answer simply but the basics are going to be engine mounts, k swap header, k swap wiring harness, ac/ps delete/alternator relocation kit, shifter mount, axles, air intake, exhaust, fuel rail with return line, fuel lines, and either an imobolizer delete box or kpro if you can afford it. its quite a bit of stuff and its still going to be a few grand but can absolutely be done for less than 6k. I hope this helps.
thanks man! This has been a great setup and i take her to 8600rpm all day lol It could easily make over 200 at the wheels with a finished tune. With the 75shot of nitrous i have been running also it just makes it that much more fun.
@@jdmjedi777 yup!! Did type s cam swap and FBO on my k20a3 and made 220whp and 151tq. Not bad at all for stock exhuast at the time (PLM headers to stock type s exhaust). Im preparing to do a K20a6 but i still have some questions. In my country all i see bedises k20a2 is k20a6 comes with 155hp. Do u have instagram to discuss a bit? cheers
I'm honestly not very familiar with the k20a6 engines but they seem to be a lot like the k20a3 from the small amount of research I did. Do you know if your engine has two or three rocker arms on your vtec side and if the vtec is only on the intake side?

That choppy idle sounds so good! I’m doing a K20A3 vtec killer swap into an EG hatch right now and my goal is 200 whp...this gives me hope :)

keep in mind the A3 makes 160 CRANK HP not wheel HP. on most dynos for a stock a3 they make around 135-140. this is huge gains
