What fun and so pretty. There's just no limit to the possibilities of how you can design these. Oh and by the way, I just purchased a jump ring tool and I love using it. tfs :-) Moriah
In India and Pakistan these bracelets are called Panja(Ring Bracelet) or Haathpool(Hand Chain) the Indian Classical Dancers that wear these bracelets are called HaathPan(Traditional Hand Chain) I wear these myself for my dance performances the only difference is that the Indian and Pakistani version are heavy and Indian Brides could wear these as their Wedding Jewellery the Indian and Pakistani version are made with actual rings not chain and depending on the weight of the Panja the style will change back in the very old days during the Mughal dynasty even before the Mughal Era Maharani's( Queen Mother) would wear gold or silver Panja that 5 rings on both hands and they are very elaborate and exquisite made with rubies, emeralds even Diamonds the DevaDasi(Female Temple Dancers) that existed in India also wore this Panja along with other Jewelery, at Indian Functions and weddings many women and Young Girls can be seen wearing a Panja now there are modern designs that are now made the Maharashtan(a state in India) have Haathphool's made with very delicate Designs that show ur status and as an Advanced Jewellery Maker u should join the finger part of the chain with one link to create a very elegant raindrop shape instead of using two links it looks much more elegant still beautiful by the way
so funny to see this style go mainstream again - i learned to make these in the society for creative anachronism - but we called the hand flowers :) fun project.
Thanks for the tutorial. I remember having a spider slave bracelet when I was about 12 or 13 years old (1992-93) that I actually might still have. I loved it so much. You gave me some good ideas for using the metal filigree which means I'll have to buy some soon. Have you considered backing it with polymer clay? I think that would work perfectly to hide the glue without getting kinda gross like fabric or leather might. It might be great for really customising a piece too. Just a thought.
Muchas gracias, Brenda Sue! Beautiful. I haven't posted in a while, but I'm always around. I know these are from last year, but I would love to make some for gifts and for myself, of course. I think Iris is going shopping at B'sue's. I would love to make a rosary one. TFS Iris
Jeanette Butler. What kind of comment is that? Doesn't sound very nice. Please keep your nastiness to yourself! She puts a lot of time, energy, and money into sharing with us, you should be thankful. If you don't like her work, don't watch.😠. B'Sue, keep up the good work TYFS! 💕
@MRS_JAY I thought I was the only one that felt this way..yeah I don't think the name is necessary. They are pretty n of course we can call them something else..just saying. .
Lovely ideas! I've been in a jewelry making mood lately. Think I'll be making some of these. Thanks for sharing!
