  • I thought it may be of interest to some to help me unbox my new Rupes Long kneck iBrid Nano BigFoot Polisher. So a quick video of what's in the kit.

    You will have fun with that, I have a Flex PXE 80 which I think is so excellent for the smaller panels and pillars.

    Nice acquisition Martin...you may find it more powerful using the mains adaptor if you feel you need a little more oomph. I know they're expensive but it's a nicely presented piece of kit. Enjoy 👍🏻

    That really is a lovely thing to have Martin.I look forward to seeing you using it. I make do with a shinemate rotary and various different extensions and pad sizes.

      Without doubt the most expensive tool I have ever bought but at the end of the day its what works for you and if the shipmate does the job then that's all you want

      I used it yesterday on my Harley and it was perfect, just the right size & easy to move around in tight places. So pleased with it. I also used it on a contaminated area of the Audi and again so manoeuvrable. Im not saying its better or worst than the Flex but Im pleased with it👍

    This is next on my list to get. I have the LHR15 mk3 & LHR75 and this will top it off nicely.

      Im really pleased with it. Ideal for those difficult to get to places and for use on my Harley but there are cheaper ones on the market so have a good look around Paul before you decide👍

      I have nothing lined up at the moment but in the past I have really needed something as adaptable as this. So while my Wife was not paying any attention I made a move. If she finds it then her car is the first in line🤣

      Its a bit of a luxury but I've been looking at it for a while and perfect for working on the Harley as well

    i just brought this kit today being a part time valeter i thought i could put on my list retoreing headlights and as polishing parts on car its a handy to have 👍

      I've used it mostly on my bike as it has much smaller areas but great for the fiddly parts. I know you can get cheaper units but Im really pleased I bought it

    Nice, recently bought one myself as I got fed up with the lack of torque and battery life on my liquid elements a1000. And as the ibrid has the option to run corded it was a win win

    That's some late present of Santa, wonder when mine will arrive 🤣🤣 to rich for my blood though Martin ☹. Look forward to seeing some good videos in the future. Recon that'll be handy for doing the bike.

      It was the bike that eventually tipped me over, just perfect for it. I have always struggled to do as good a job as possible even though I have a 5 & 3 inch machines. Now there are no excuses

      You need to find a remote garage to hire, get it equipped with a bar and keep out of the way

    Love mine....
    But also love my flex pxe80
    They're similar but different and each has their strengths and weaknesses.
    You can get extension bars for the flex now from in2detailing.
    Flex is great because its such a small polishing head....the flex is seriously powerful for something so light.

      @@ObsessiveCarDetailer the Nano I got as barely used off ebay at a price I couldn't resist whilst on furlough back in the summer..... as its so well liked and used in the industry...
      The flex I got after seeing Jon on forensic details raving about it and could see it getting used when you just want to do a small area of say a spot correction... or on door frames and window pillars..... oh and the quick swap of the heads to go rotary or DA.... clever German engineering
      Don't regret either because I've used them both on the same cars and once you've got the pads to suit each it just saves time of switching pad sizes
      The nano I use for small pads the flex for 80mm....

    Hi Martin have you thought about getting a camera that records your videos in 1080p. I love your content it just always looks blurry and dated. Not taking a dig but would to see a crispy video that’s all. Many respects mate.

    I looked at the ibrid when I got my two Rupes polishers but just couldn’t justify the cost. I do tight areas with my rotary, extension bar and a 1” pad. I suppose the ibrid would be worth it just to have that kit to look at!

    Nice kit, i was looking at the spta mini polisher from amazon but it doesnt come with the wired battery like this, i might as well look at rupes now, i blame u for making me spend more martin...😆 that kit is awesome i seen a few rupes kits but never seen this one, its on my wish list now...

      oh no, don't blame me. that sounds like the easy way out. It's how I got the bug for it. I blamed Pan. I really like the flexibility of it👍

      That adapter to also be able to use the mains is indeed nice and I have not seen it before. Don't know if it is available stand alone and would fit the SPTA.

      Hi, its both, by changing the the small green, blue or red functional units you have a rotary, a da with a 3mm throw or a 12mm throw. So this little (but expensive) tool gives you a rotary, a DA, a sander & two cleaning tools. Very flexible

      I haven't researched the Flex Gary but doubt there is much between them. You will always find people who prefer one or the other and will obviously claim the one they have is best. Im very happy with this for what I want to do

    Impressive piece of kit that mate.I can see the benefits and advantages of it,especially with you having the M40i and the Harley.Not cheap but quality rarely is!.Enjoy mate and hopefully we all will see the results of it in your workshop.👍🏼
