I call the Magic Wand tool the Tragic Wand tool. Its really only good if you have a subject against a simple background and the subject has no pixels that have a hue close to the background. In this case, her outfit is close to the same hue as the background so the wand probably would have selected her outfit as well as the background. Im not saying the magic wand tool cant do it, in photoshop there are a million ways to do anything. This is just one of the many ways to mask out an object. Its my favorite because I know the subject was cut out correctly, albeit slower than other ways. It always depends on the photo. This video was just to show how to use the brush to mask.
Didn't know about that shift key trick, that's handy. What's the advantage of this over the wand tool?

@@mrmcbonkers9304 Haha, good point. I guess this is like using the polygon lasso tool apart from you don't get the sharp corners which is nice.
@@captainfatdog That is another one of the many ways to cut out an image. Like my professors said, "I dont care how you do it just get it done."
@@mrmcbonkers9304 Hehe, well I'll definitely be giving this a go.
keep these coming mate!
Will do. Gonna branch out a bit from gaming. :)
