Diesel Jackeroo versus petrol 6 cylinder Pajero - old trucks rule! Get a load of this old dvd, one of my absolute favourites from the days when Pat and I were pioneering 'going bush' in old trucks. It's all about the spanners - and hammers.

Roothy, you need to more of these types of videos again.
I remember buying this 4wd monthly magazine when I was a kid. This specific edition/episode out of probably 50 I have
I was a kid with no pocket money when these came out
Luckily my dad loves these and we got alot of them but never got this one
Our 2002, 3.8lt Pajero has 340,000 clicks on the clock nd still runs like a charm, I love it.
I bounced the old V6 up to the tip , before the Wenlock was bridged or concrete pass and to my surprise the plug leads and all never failed . We had about 4 notts of river flow lapping at my door window heading north , no tarp dam on the front end. Those bash plates on those stock old girls were tough too , cant say the same for my door seal through the Wenlock :).8 year old electrics though, impresive for Petty Ute
I remember watching this the first time on the dvd that came with the mag - fantastic! Your comment about the benefits of the old tech carby fuel system resonated with me, I remember coming home late one night with my dad in a 71 petrol 40 series, I think it was a 3 speed, the one you could crank from the front, holding a jam tin of petrol out the window while we crawled home through the brigaolow. Made it home no problems at all apart from sore arm holding up the tin and a few stops to refill. Gold.
Hahaha! I remember doing the same with a sauce bottle full of petrol squirting down the throat of our old Maple Leaf truck
Its ironic that the Jackaroo was a licence built Pajaro in aust!!!!!!!!!!!
That soap trick was an Absalom one wasn't it? You can make a putty from spinifex.
That mitsi has more problems the the old bush pig from the last challange
Epic
❤
💚✌️
Pity the show doesn't go back to Roothy and pat it's never been the same since the other two look over it's just about buying kings gear.

OK, so I ain't that organised....
I still this day can't understand damaging a vehicle for entertainment, regardless of the value of the vehicle.
Thats landcruiser/patrol owners for you
Personally I'd agree - but we got paid to do it - maybe not an excuse if you haven't got a family...
Cool episode! I remember this one ! When 4wd videos used to be really cool ! 🏞🛻📹🤙😎
