And man I, as a historian myself, can say that I never would know that someone doing this types of videos would out so much details into what was then considered to be the third grade European front, or well the second front until the Allies landed in Italy. The ammount that you put into various resistance movements is simply amazing......as amazing as the German operation to move the entire city of Erfurt 100km to the East. I'm joking of course, but your videos managed to impress even my father, an expert carthographer, soooo.......congrats man. Honestly I haven't seen such dediceded mapper yet. In every video about Balkans, you can see comments like, "Here before the nationalists", "war actually in comments" and other derogatory comments. This video proves that Balkan people are not nationalists nor uncivilized pricks. There are just people, who love freedom and fight for it. Balkan people were the most effective resistance in WW2, compared to the other states of Europe. I know this comment will annoy and insult many people, but that's the true.
I don't it was the most effective and the most complete. For me , it was Free France , or French french forces (FFF), they had huge network to inform allies , they had an army that fought everywhere, they had newspapers just for them, they had diplomatic ties with almost all of the allies, even USSR . Speaking of USSR , FFF helped them in the eastern front, they were a threat in the Western front since they cutted supplies with sabotages, they liberated Paris themselves and made the landing far easier, they made sure to be part of the big winner of the war and they were organized (left and right wing worked toghether in Free French Resistance). But i'm not gonna underestimate Balkan resistance , they liberated themselves and fought Germany with only a bit of supplies, and won .
@@mrronron7328 "they liberated Paris themselves" Let's not get carried away here. The Americans chose to hold their army back and put the French army in front to liberate Paris, because of the psychological effect it would have for the French people. @@Alsayid 1st american decided to go around Paris, it was Free France's choice to liberate it. However, when Free French Forces came, French Resistance in Paris , knowing the landing was happening, decided to fight the german themselves, and they won .

@@camponotusinflatus9920 no, that's just not true, there's a difference between internationalist communists and national communists. National Bolsheviks come to mind who are socialists but also fierce nationalists and socially right wing. @@Scenariania yeah I know that. It’s a shame though because this could’ve been a ww2 everyday europe video like EmperorTigerstar’s but with much higher quality, though I understand his intentions for focusing on the western front.
This is a masterpiece! Actually, since i already know your high standards for doing such videos, i personally took my time to watch Yugoslavia, to see just how much details you put in there.
Btw, can I ask you which sources have you used during making of these videos?
Thank you very much for your kind words! This is really important for me. For the frontlines I almost always used Wikipedia. But for the partisans and air bombing I needed to look for information on the other local sites... For the Greek partisans I used Aegea's video (link in description). Also I have good friend which interests the Chetnik movement in Yugoslavia (yellow color) and helped to research me :D
Finally someone showed the formation of Yugoslavia in 1918 correctly (meaning Serb unification first, that is Serbia annexing Serb-Inhabited territories of Austrua-Hungary, then Yugoslav unification second).
Also someone actually showing rught-wing Yugoslav guerilla resistance, which was joint with the Communists in 1941(when it mattered the most) and continued to resist until 1945, saving many American pilots in the process and even liberating a few towns with the red army.
@@CherepashkaShusha well yeah, that's contraversial, as a serb i am not sure in objectivity of his info... But still its UA-cam map, ain't gonna judge.
note how the most important parts of war (most of eastern front in central russia) are not visible in this map while empty atlantic ocean is visible. obvious revisionist bias to hype up the minimal western contribution to war.
This is actually one of the best and most informative video about the western front in Europe, this is actually amazing work.
This is simply incredible, the amount of dedication you had to make this. In particular, the light colours on the map look visually appealing to the eye and with the border glow softening the borders, well done! Hopefully, the youtube algorithm recommends this as much as your video on the Eastern front. Seeing it's of the same genre as other WW2 videos AND probably will have more watch time, I don't doubt this video will go viral. Sublime!
So, you improved since your Eastern Front video and included the Polish Resistance Movement, which reached 500.000 people at its peak in mid 1944, during the Operation Tempest and the Warsaw Uprising. Thanks for that!
The author is great! He made an amazing video about the Second World War. It was very interesting to watch the partisan movements.
Especially in the balkans
Bro, this is amazing, you shown a lot of resistance movements, i am pretty sure that this was pretty challenging to make, good work!
9:31 the music perfectly matched to the surrender of italy
Italy didnt surrender, Mussolini Was Overthrown
That is Freaking beautiful thank you for taking your time out just to make some people learn history. Much love from Greece 🇬🇷❤️
My friend, you've outdone anyone i've ever seen. Well done indeed and thankyou
@dragon absolutely! He's done Eastern and western fronts, I imagine next he'll do the Pacific, and I have to say I really can not wait.
This is the first person to include french resisitence
I did that in my video that I made in June
Yes
More like first person to include most of ww2 resistances
@@fahoodie1852 yeah but this one is done REALLY well
@@Dardelsploon And I’ve got to admit that. He even added different types of resistance AND every half-day? Certainly excelled, he really did great on that video
When asked what side it wanted to be on, Italy replied with a simple, “Yes.” This was true for both World Wars
Well, it was a civil war, in the video it should have shown in the axis the Republic of Salò (fascist Italy) and in the south the Kingdom of Italy.
The music at the beginning was amazing. Epic work here
Wow nvm the music everywhere was amazing, I’m astonished
THE DETAIL! Well done! This is a masterpiece!
After you put "World War II, the Eastern Front", I knew you would do "World War II in Europe", I really like.👍👍👍

This is the best mapping video about WW2 I've ever seen!
My favorite underrated mapping youtuber everyone should take notice
3:17 - 5:00 Unlike how many people say, Britain was not alone. Britain had an empire that stretched a fifth of the globe.
yess i was waiting for this for ages, absolutely amazing!!
Вау, эта музыка на начале Великой отечественной войны - идеальный тайминг!
И, в целом, работа - высший класс 👏🏻
This is the best video you coulf find on this topic. Great job!
You need to make WW1 and Napoleonic Wars too, your maps are perfect
I am very impressed with this vid on the Western Front of World War II. This is the first time I have seen someone show the battle between the left and the right in such detail.
Insane work, thank you !
Great job! The amount of detail is amazing. I love how you included the end of World War 1 and the resistance movements! It’s hard to find information of some resistance movements. Keep up the good work, we are looking forward to the future videos you will provide to the mapping community. :)

Yugoslavia: Greece?
Greece: Yes?
Yugoslavia: We are the only countries that liberated themself... Do you know what that means?
Greece: PARTY TIME
Yugoslavia: Yayyyy
Greece: Yay-

British Empire: Hello there
This is a masterpiece.
I had to pause the video multiple times after saying "what the fuck what that?!", and went on to learn about entire aspects of the war I'd never even heard of. And other aspects I had, but had never been able to put into context, and can now finally begin to appreciate.
I like the HOI4 theme going on in this video. It's like an expansion pack for the Eastern Front video.
You could make WWI, too! And WWII on The whole map of Europe. Seeing how you made the ending stages of WWI and all your foregoing videos, I think you would be the winner among the other mappers.
Might as well even include belligerents such as the zaian confederation, the Senussis, the Mexican revolution
Fun fact, that little Bulgaria border shift with Romania in 1940 actually remains that way today, per the Treaty of Craiova.
It's one of the few wartime border changes to have survived
This is a masterpiece! Well done
I like this! A mapper who doesn't just trace.
Great Vid ! Finally someone who Explained it better
Thank you for including the capture of Royan and La pointe de Grave. People (including a lot of mappers!) forget it.
11:15 It gave me goosebumps to hear a very epic music with the liberation of France being inevitable. Great work. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Such a high amount of effort. Few mappers are at a level and confidence this high, an Oscar is needed!
Hats off to a tremendous amount of work. Most people do not realize what it takes to do this. The research, edit, animation, etcetera.
Bravo, my friend!👏👏👏
Dude, This is the best 'history on map' video I've ever seen
:O coool bro very nice maping and animations in my opinion this is the best ww2 video in UA-cam keep going
Amazing! Absolutely astounding!
Just completed watching the ww2 mapping video... Wow... How you don't have hundreds of thousands of subs is beyond me. Definitely worth the wait and I have no regrets subscribing to you. I wonder what's next. Maybe the East African front WW2? Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work and I will continue to watch your mapping videos. 🙂
The video is just perfect! Yes, there are small mistakes about the Yugoslav partisans (especially the Chetniks) and there is no Legality movement in Albania, but for the most part it is just fine, this is a huge step for videomapping! Ставлю любо такому прекрасному видео!
Where is mistake about Chetniks? Maybe because Chetniks liberate Kruševac in 1944, which is not recognised by this map?
@@ArhivatorSrbija In fact, they are well shown, but there are just a few Chetniks in Eastern Bosnia, and there were many of them, in 1941-July 1942 they are not shown at all (Jezdimir Dangić and Boško Todorović) And one more thing. And he marked the liberation of Krushevac in green, since it was mainly liberated by Soviet troops
He also forgot Free France :(
@@_casanova No, he hadn't forgotten
Has to be the best WW2 day-by-day video I've ever seen. Astonishing detail!
I love how you even involved the Dieppe Raid off the Coast of Belgium and Dunkirk 7:27

I gotta say. You, and Hurricane hunter03 have made the best world war 2 every day vids I’ve seen on UA-cam. Great job on this one
Спасибо тебе друг за твой труд. Томск тебя любит и благодарит
Наконец-то. Долго ждал
From 1946 the symbol from the House of Savoy was taken off from the flag of Italy because Italy became a republic in June of 1946. But nice job though. One other thing you should have taken out is thegreen spots in southwestern France on the 1949 maps of Europe. On the other hand, East Germany shared the flag with West Germany so East Germany did not added its socialist coat of arms until 1959. Great job! I like the simulation
The green spots stayed in France until the fifties... And this is not a joke :D

Hello, first i want to say you did good job. It is really amazing. Second,i want to start makink mapping videos. Can you advise me some apps or editing programs? It would be really helpful if you reply. Thanks
I use Pаint.net for creating maps and Wondershare Filmora for video editing!
@@CherepashkaShusha I have tried paint.net before but i have failed. When i tried to save a frame all layers is disappearing. How did you fix that problem?
@@beratopcu8474 You need to save frame in two file formats separately (PDN and PNG)
@@CherepashkaShusha Maybe you can record a video about how you make mapping videos and share some tips like this. I am sure that a lot of people who follows you will inspire and they will start making mapping videos. Just an idea.
@@beratopcu8474 Also, you can save files in PNG, and you need to flatten an image. After that, you can undo it, so all the layers return, and you can continue. Only for the last slide that you are going to make before closing app, you need to save it in both paint.net format and in PNG.
HOI Music made this even better!. Good work friend!.
"My spirit will rise from the grave and the world will see I was right."
Wow , bro... this is a piece of art!
It sucks Greece had to have right wing government even though left wingers put in most of the work.
The Balkans are also geographically the most effective place to organize resistance in.
@@mrronron7328 "they liberated Paris themselves" Let's not get carried away here. The Americans chose to hold their army back and put the French army in front to liberate Paris, because of the psychological effect it would have for the French people. This was an American choice, not something the French resistance simply did on its own.
@@Alsayid 1st american decided to go around Paris, it was Free France's choice to liberate it. However, when Free French Forces came, French Resistance in Paris , knowing the landing was happening, decided to fight the german themselves, and they won .
Sir it's really a Great Video with a good music and Great Map. Your Mapping videos are just amazing.
It's probably the best animation of this kind ever made, but Im still upset that there are "left/right wing" instead of communists/nationalists. It would be much more exact, cuz left/right is in fact a fictional partition. Anyway thumb up 👍
problem with that is, there were communist nationalists, and non-communist anti-nationalists
@@theremapping3840 There are no communist nationalists, communists are only globalists.
@@camponotusinflatus9920 no, that's just not true, there's a difference between internationalist communists and national communists. National Bolsheviks come to mind who are socialists but also fierce nationalists and socially right wing. The Yugoslav partisans under Tito may have been internationalists, but their goal was nationalist, the liberation of Yugoslavia and formation of an independent state. The same is true with Vietnam where Ho Chi Minh is quoted in saying "Independence first, communism Second".
Or maybe partisans/conservatives(royalists)
