After listening to the OG version, I realized Kurt knew what he was doing choosing to cover these songs, his voice is absolutely perfect for them! Breathed new life into some underappreciated gems that went unnoticed by most.

27 yrs later I still can’t watch without crying. As a huge nirvana fan and a 19 yr old this album had just came out. Nirvana was the band that introduced me to alternative rock they changed the way I thought, dressed, and acted. For me time is measured in before kurts death and after .today taylor Hawkins died it brought me back to April 1994. I thought of Dave and how crushed he must be to hear a friend and band mate was dead again.

Don't bother reading the early books after Kurt's death..instead watch the documentary the PI Courtney Love hired to provide her with an alibi. But being an ex cop he smelled something wasn't right. And he actually did his job properly proving that almost certainly Love had him murdered, he knows who pulled the trigger and why. I'm guessing they haven't shown that documentary stateside considering how many Americans still buy the official story despite the events in the inquest are physically impossible. Plus if you bought a gun with the sole purpose of killing yourself would you buy a .22, designed to kill rats! And it was very responsible of Kurt to shoot himself in the head and still put the lid back on the needle and put his used works in his little safe box. But the best bit of all was when courtney (when I grow up I want to be able to read) Love actually read the last part of his very convincing suicide letter and she expects ppl to believe one of the most talented and original artists of the 90s would finish a suicide note with the most corny cliche of all time... 'its better to burn out than to fade away'... the most unoriginal, cringe, totally, un-kurt like words even spoken.
I don’t know why, but this song has been like a close friend throughout my life, 39 now. This song over all others I’ve heard, has a way of relaxing me, pulling me out of darkness (in my mind), even has pulled me out of hate filled rages, gently bringing me back to the here and now, calmed.
I just turned 30 in March... unfortunately I didn't have pleasure and pure rawness of seeing Nirvana Unplugged Live nor at all. I listen and watch Oh me every night before I go to sleep. It calms me down and helps me sleep. I'm always tired but I just can't sleep most nights. Love this version ❤️

you can tell how excited kurt is about this one, the childish giddy is infectious in sure he felt like a human being in those few fleeting moments, like someone who fit in and was normal and got to be a normal person

Kurt's contribution to modern music was profound, he really re-defined rock culture , bringing the underground "Grunge" scene to the masses, legendary and his music is the soundtrack of my life.
The gift of God can take you to the highest level in life so that you can show the people what He gave you But it can also bring you down. I miss this guy. Kind of like what Layne Stayley went through. I get a bad ass feeling when I listen to both of them guys. I think there will never be gifted and blessed guys like this again

Kurt passed six years before I was born, but thanks to my dad being a big Nirvana fan, I can appreciate the amazing music they made. Kurt's voice in this whole show just makes my soul happy. It's inspired me to get back in to playing guitar

You can tell he really didn't know how beautiful he was inside and out and I'm very glad in his life Courtney let him know that. My heart still breaks for him I was 6 when he offed himself but my older brothers always watched MTV so I vividly remember the world premiere of smells like teen spirit and even though he was gone my brothers always loved Nirvana which then became my love as well.
Back in the late 90's when I was in high school, there was this huge guy that always wore Cannibal Corpse shirts complete with long hair, a chain wallet and a stay out of my way demeaner. I was listening to Nirvana's Unplugged album with my headphones at my desk during some free time when he approached me. I'd never spoken to him before but I think he saw the CD case on the desk, so I took my headphones off and quickly braced myself for yet another 'Nirvana sucks' argument. "What's your favorite Nirvana record?" he asked. I looked at the CD and I said "I don't know but I listen to this one the most." He said, "Yeah, me too. Oh Me is a bad ass song." I was taken aback. "Huh?" I said. "Oh Me, the Meat Puppets cover, that song is the best song on any Nirvana record. It kicks ass." In my head I'm thinking "Okay Mr. Death Metal 24/7 whatever you say dude", but I probably said something like "I like Plateau more." I never forgot this one-off micro interaction, and it didn't take me long to realize what he meant. As veiled as the theme might be, it's a very honest song. The words that are sung are very blunt and the music conveys the feeling perfectly. That outro guitar solo is just absolutely gorgeous.

you can tell how excited kurt is about this one, the childish giddy is infectious in sure he felt like a human being in those few fleeting moments, like someone who fit in and was normal and got to be a normal person
You can hear that Cobain was really happy to sing that one, the excitement and fulfilment in his voice at the beginning just makes me so happy for him.

Kurt was enjoying so much playing in that dimension, actually feeling the love of the people around him. A better stage for his career, compared to angry and loud usual one. He was a real musician, looking for some evolution too. God have mercy on him !

it's so cool to see actually Kurt focusing and trying not to screw up, and look nervous!! because usually he has this carefree IDGAF look when he plays, not caring if he screws up or anything.. but I think he actually put in a lot of effort, for respect of the Meat Puppets
That nervousness quickly faded.. Brilliant album.
I read that even after the concert he thought it was a terrible performance and had to be convinced it was great.
He clearly gives a fuck lol , he only acts like he don't hence why he was nervous cuz of their lack of rehearsal
@@scarykurapika100yago2 Tbh nirvana was one of those bands that kinda didn't even need rehearsals yeah it's a smart thing to do before shows but they all equally had the music in them regardless so it just came out as they are today which makes it raw and perfect to me

Nirvana would've been a fuller band if Kurt actually worked on his guitar playing.. even for live performances sake

Kurt passed six years before I was born, but thanks to my dad being a big Nirvana fan, I can appreciate the amazing music they made. Kurt's voice in this whole show just makes my soul happy. It's inspired me to get back in to playing guitar

You can tell he really didn't know how beautiful he was inside and out and I'm very glad in his life Courtney let him know that. My heart still breaks for him I was 6 when he offed himself but my older brothers always watched MTV so I vividly remember the world premiere of smells like teen spirit and even though he was gone my brothers always loved Nirvana which then became my love as well.
All at the pinnacle of their talents ...and so beautiful....did you ever see such a bunch of beautiful men.

Back in the late 90's when I was in high school, there was this huge guy that always wore Cannibal Corpse shirts complete with long hair, a chain wallet and a stay out of my way demeaner. I was listening to Nirvana's Unplugged album with my headphones at my desk during some free time when he approached me. I'd never spoken to him before but I think he saw the CD case on the desk, so I took my headphones off and quickly braced myself for yet another 'Nirvana sucks' argument. "What's your favorite Nirvana record?" he asked. I looked at the CD and I said "I don't know but I listen to this one the most." He said, "Yeah, me too. Oh Me is a bad ass song." I was taken aback. "Huh?" I said. "Oh Me, the Meat Puppets cover, that song is the best song on any Nirvana record. It kicks ass." In my head I'm thinking "Okay Mr. Death Metal 24/7 whatever you say dude", but I probably said something like "I like Plateau more." I never forgot this one-off micro interaction, and it didn't take me long to realize what he meant. As veiled as the theme might be, it's a very honest song. The words that are sung are very blunt and the music conveys the feeling perfectly. That outro guitar solo is just absolutely gorgeous.

Its been 27 years today since Kurt died, he has been gone as long as he was alive. "RIP" Kurt we all miss you and wish you were still here making us smile, you were one of the greatest musicians that ever lived and I just hope that wherever you are your at peace. Your legacy will always live forever Kurt you were the best to do it.
