- Mary Nelson Sinclair and Matty Cruise invite us inside their 18th-century farmhouse in Hudson Valley, New York.
The couple - with the help of Mary Nelson's mother, designer Mary Louise Sinclair - spent a year mindfully renovating and designing what was originally purchased as a family vacation home. And in 2019, as their family began to grow, it ultimately became their full-time abode.
Now, living there with their two young children and Yorkshire terrier, Mary Nelson says the home is like a "quilt" that's patched together with things old and new. Some of the new includes her own abstract oil paintings and Matty's metal furniture sprinkled throughout!

When Mary said that minimalism was never really her thing, she and I have the same philosophy! Mary and Matty's home is hands down in my top 3 Schumacher homes that have been featured. I was obsessed with that colour too. It looks very similar to Farrow & Ball 'Calamine' and 'Tailor Tack'. Leaning more towards 'Tailor Tack'.
