There is a easy mode and many visibility enhancements on most androids for ur dad!
If that's the case then certainly touch screen is not really the problem here is it. Also, there are options to make everything bigger.
My dad had the same problem but i switched on the easy mode on his samsung which made the menu easy to navigate and magnified the screen.

Actually we'd prefer a world without cellphones but there you go... The sooner social media/tiktok/ dies out and people start using their braincells again the better for humanity. We have a lost generation of low intelligent drones but at least the new generation are shunning this rubbish.
