In this week's episode, get ready for a DAY IN THE LIFE like no other! Join Mike as he not only asks the questions but also gets "wet" as he suits up, puts on the mask, and tanks then dives 10ft under with the Piermont Dive Rescue Team.
Starting early, this dedicated team showcases their robust explorer program, grooming future heroes who are ready to take on the challenging work of diving into the Hudson to save lives. Even Mike, a complete rookie, gets to try out the skills under the guidance of experienced instructors with years of expertise.
Watch as Mike struggles to get into the dry suit and fits his large head through a water-tight seal - it's all part of the adventure! Dive beneath the surface with special underwater cameras as Mike swims the pool, learning the intricacies of creating neutral buoyancy.
Second Assistant Chief Dan Goswick mentors Mike on his first dive, ensuring safety and skill development with all the special gear.

Kudos to Piermont Dive Rescue team! That's my sister, "the rookie" practicing holding the line. Looks kinda fun in a pool but terrifying to think the real work happens in "black water." Heroes for sure!
