DRIVING FROM LAS TERRENAS TO PLAYA PONCHO: WE FOUND A PIECE OF PARADISE!

We love Dominican Republic. Wandering around beautiful Las Terrenas and other charming places in Samana Peninsula especially!
This year, we finally decided to rent a quad and drive around the town to discover new spots. This is how we found Playa poncho ;-)
Playa Poncho

Getting There is easy!
Playa Poncho is located near the town of Las Terrenas Samaná Peninsula . To reach this secluded beach, you can fly into Santo Domingo or Punta Cana, and then take a scenic drive to the northeastern coast. The journey is worth it, as you’ll be greeted by a tropical paradise that offers a more tranquil and less crowded alternative to the popular tourist spots.
The Beach
Playa Poncho is a picturesque stretch of coastline with soft golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is framed by lush palm trees, offering natural shade and a postcard-worthy backdrop for your tropical escape. Whether you’re a sunbather, a swimmer, or an adventurer, Playa Poncho has something to offer.
The calm and shallow waters are perfect for swimming, and you can explore the vibrant marine life with snorkeling gear. There’s a sense of serenity at Playa Poncho that’s hard to find on the more crowded beaches, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and meditation.
