- Today’s episode on Design Seed we will be sharing a property located approximately 22 kilometres north of Kuala lumpur, it lies near a hill named Templer Park.
Templer Park is home to diverse flora and fauna. The park is surrounded by dense rainforest, limestone hills, waterfalls and clear streams, offering a peaceful and refreshing environment.
What caught my attention to feature this project is the movement and intention by the owners to maintain the existing structure for such a huge change of concept, and still being able to achieve such an alluring outcome.
This project showcased a calming and exciting experiential getaway.
A close to the city retreat that reminds us about living.

I like the natural materials lime paint, and adds the feeling of 'freedom' to the whole house, the design is simple yet modern, but 1 thing that spolit it - the arch wall.

Yes this is more of mediteranean . The arches , stacco. The curve wall.
The outside look like normal bungalow but because of the scale of it, makes it look like a castle in bungalow style.
Joewel and team, great job!!!! Love the ethereal peaceful vibe in this space. Someone needs to take note in the US. In the states of Idaho and Montana, the log cabins are butt- ugly ( that is a SE US phrase). Homes in this region are the opposite of what you have done. Dark logs of ceiling floor and walls with tiny windows. Sometimes high ceilings, but more often in older homes and ranches, tiny rooms with low ceilings. Horrible oppressive Feng Shui!! And the idiots have not learned that wallpaper should be banned in these locations! It creates mold ,unless used only on south facing exterior wall. To me , it is obvious, why these owners have such huge liquor cabinets or bar in every home!!!!
I am looking at homes online , in the northern portions of these to states and ....well... so much work would need to be done. And , one cannot just go raising a roof very easily. Ethereal is the vibe I need, welcoming and peaceful oasis. You know how to do this , also
“ Three Birds Renovation” on You Tube in Australia knows how to capture this too. Someone ,please influence the builders and decorators in the US!!!

Average design but superb location. I rated average bcoz in this superb location, the design should exposed more to it's environment... With skylights , frameless glass window, btw the floor look amazing.

It's a nice space, but I don't like having all those random seating areas. I'd divide the space up with some more variety.

well .. 1. that was a blatant advertising pitch for a monstrosity with no visible redeeming design characteristics; 2. you ARE wrong, the house is not Spanish anything (and the design parameters between Spain, Greece and Morocco are decidedly different); 3. putting an arched niche in the wall does not make it Mediterranean, any more than inserting a beam makes it Tudor, 4. andMediterranean design grew out of hot DRY summers and is nowhere near suited to a humid tropical climate ..... oh ... and it's hideous. Nothing but a tacky McMansion
