One year warranty on a product that lives outside is a complete no-go

I happen to have a Bhyve sprinkler timer, and they make a hose bib timer that can link to it (you need to buy their "hub" otherwise). So I have a drip hose for my veggie garden hooked up also. Thinking of adding another one for the flower garden too! I just put a splitter on the bib so I can still use my regular hose. Game changer.

I live in the Pacific Northwest region (western Washington) and I use a DIY above ground irrigation solution put together using B-have and a bunch of MP Rotator sprinkler heads. I've found that due to the mild summer here and the frequency of rainfall, there is no need for me to invest in an underground irrigation system because typically we only need to water our lawn a few months out of the entire year, usually 2 to 3 months in summer and during this time the grass doesn't grow much anyway so no issue with leaving the DIY solution in place.
The B-hyve as the advantage of having a 4 zone version of their faucet timer which does makes things a little easier.
The only one thing I do not like about products like these is that their connector threads are plastic and not brass, if you're not careful those can be damaged. I would very much prefer for manufacturers to come up with a brass version instead.

Great video Ginja! The hose timers definitely save time and money. I started with something similar at home but eventually I installed an underground irrigation system. I even added a couple of quick couplers, like the ones they have on golf courses, for those localized dry spots or when I need more water pressure for certain chores.

Assess my lawn. Every single year myself and several neighbors in our area develop these nearly perfect circles of grass that is greener than the rest. Literally looks like a crop circle in our lawns. What’s is that?

Does this timer keep a 3/4” internal diameter??🙏🏽🙏🏽 been looking for one that doesn’t bottle neck my 3/4” water line and affect water flow

this is a fantastic question. I don't have the answer, i will say i'm pushing about 70 psi through the timer and it appears it can handle more. Hope that helps a little

    Heya, Ginja!
    Another useful gadget explained well!
Is there a quick way to tell when spots are underwatered before they turn brown?
When I was a kid, dad told me to look for the dark green/blue grass and get water to it before it was beyond quick recovery, but that might have been a dad story.

That’s interesting because I would figure you’d want a dark blue green lawn.
