That was a satisfying shave Matt, I love that you are adding new and artisan soap makers that have been around. The Konsul glided through your stubble!
I bought a Konsul recently - at $565 Australian! - and I have really enjoyed it so far. I have had trouble loading the blade so will definitely follow your recommendation. Good luck with the new studio.
I just got the exact same soap and aftershave from them, smells great and it's really good quality stuff. Love their labels too, very very nicely done. Agree with you that the aftershave almost feels like a balm, very nourishing.
Hi Matt- Great shave and Noble Otter soap/aftershave reviews; thank you! Definitely a nice set of products! You’re right about there being many options for men with sensitive skin. I have a nice collection of unscented soaps from a good number of artisans, including Noble Otter, who make a soap called, “Bare”. Looking forward to seeing the new studio! Be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Matt!
Had trouble loading the konsul at first, but after some trial and error, discovered an easy way to load the blade. I agree with the presenter that the technique, not the razor design, needs to be changed. Definitely my favorite razor.
Nice shave! Your otter impression cracked me up 😆 I’ve recently purchased the Noble Otter 🦦 Lonestar soap and aftershave from your store and I love the scent! very unique and the soap quality is top notch! wonderful glide and protection from the blade.
damn, I struggled with loading the Konsul. I used your technique and it was much easier. I have carpal and arthritis so I struggle sometimes with fine motor skills. of course I would be happier with your TTO Ambassador, someday
I’ve got tons of soaps from Ariana and Evans, Stirling, Moon Soaps, First Line Shave, Fine Accoutrements, House of Mammoth, Zingari, and Proraso. I recently got my first sample of Noble Otter (Ace scent). I’ve used it 3 times now and I swear, it’s the best lathering shave soap out there. It was effortless. And so slick. And most importantly, I didn’t experience a single spec of irritation (which NEVER happens for me). Noble Otter is the best of the best IMO
Very happy to see this one! Noble Otter is one of my all time favorites (along with TOBS, Geo F Trumper, Proraso, Stirling, RE small batch, hmmmmmm maybe I buy too many soap lol). Finding I am really enjoying the lather from the beef tallow soaps like Noble Otter.
I just got the King R Emporium Aftershave in yesterday its great! I whipped out my Rex Supply Co. Envoy Razor and loaded it with a Platinum Strangelet Blade along with King R Emporium Formula CK-6 Shave Soap. I highly recommend all these products. I still haven't tried Noble Otter yet but am interested in this one and Orbit...
Tis The Season was the first Noble Otter soap I tried, just this past Christmas. I bought Rawr to try next but I have so many soaps I am not certain when I will get to it. but Tis The Season was fine soap, nice scent and great lather
Nice one Matt. I have tried Monarch from NO so far and like it a lot. They came out with a balm recently and I plan to get that as a matching balm. Seems to come in a jar so you can dab your fingers in which I like instead of these pump action types. I will have to try BarrBarr now!
Good one Matt💈💈 Glad you picked up N O products, nice stuff. Another quality company available from Razor Emporium. Great shave with what might be the greatest razor known to man... Love mine, can ya tell? Ha. Thanks for another great video.
I always enjoy your videos, Matt! I tried the Noble Otter "The Noir et Vanille" shave soap. The base is excellent, but I was quite disappointed in the scent. Instead of black tea and vanilla, it smells more like fresh rubber. This is an issue that I have with some artisan shave soaps: sometimes the description doesn't match the reality. And that makes it tricky when deciding what to try. As for carrot extract, the only other product I've heard with that ingredient is a face wash from the Body Shop, which contains carrot root extract. I bought some as a stocking stuffer for my wife last Christmas, but I don't think she's tried it yet...
I have their Northern Elixer. Has a spearmint scent and is mentholated. Good performance, I'm still on the fence about menthol though. BTW I've been using your Heritage soap for the last week and I love it! It lathers up fast and smells awesome! Looking forward to the aftershave coming out.
Try getting a vintage Superspeed. Reasonably priced ones out there on forums and eBay. $20 or so for regular a bit more for red tip. Of course more for a replated one.
Perhaps your shop should make shaving soaps in sample size mini containers so we can try them all and pick out the ones we like without worrying about being stuck with a large tub of soap that we don't like. Just a thought and its something you do with razor blades already.

I also bought recently the consul (330€) and have trouble loading it! Thanks for the recommendation, I will try it in this alternative way
Agreed! I like to load it in the cap, hold it in place with my thumb and index finger, and then insert it on the plate.

That's how I load my Ambassador. There's something really satisfying about hearing the little clicking when things snap into place.
I picked up a Konsul from you back in November. It has become my go to Razor. An absolutely awesome shave every time. Thanks for the great videos!
Can you take that white brick wall with you to the new premises? I am sure I'm not the only one who will miss it.
New space has a white block wall too :)
@@RazorEmporium absolutely bloody brilliant!🙌🙌🙌🏆🏆🏆🍻🍻🍻

I love the freshness of Noble Otter Northern Elixir and the sophistication of Orbit.
Great shave, new soap and aftershave look great too. I use the Rex Konsul as a daily driver. Definitely has that laser cutting feel, effortless
Looking forward to the studio setup

Can you make sample sizes of your shaving soaps? You could include one in revamps or in with orders of blades or razors.

Thanks for the review, sounds like my next soap. Love my Konsul!
Seems bizarre that people are have trouble loading a blade into their Rex, I mean really?
I appreciated the loading advice. Yes, I've had problems in the past.
@@KennyEmbry I’m glad it did! :)
Hi. Are most Noble Otter soaps scents below a 5/10 scent strength? Are there any strong ones?

Love that razor ! How about a tee shirt and a razor give-away ?
Really like that noble otter label graphic
Hi Matt, i like your videos! Greetings from Austria!
First time hearing of them. Probably start with this scent I’m the near future
0:39 😂😂😂👍🏾 Otter Matt.
I think rather Seal Matt, but still nice try xd
0:39 I love it
Noble Otter seems like a great product
So Matt what is your personal favorite Rex razor? I know that might be asking which child is your favorite.
Ambassador
Can we call the tabs Hot Dog shaped tabs?
Absolutely!
That sounded more like seal 🦭 than an otter. 🇨🇦
yea lol
title is wrong
edit: title was wrong*
Glad I was not the only one that noticed. I thought noble otter was the razor not the soap.
Million dollar question is what is best price point Butterfly Razor I can buy?
Adjustable is better.🤔
Love that Matt said, PROBLEM NOT ISSUE.🤪

Matt thinks Otters are Sea Lions? LOL
Yup
