I started watercolor just about a year ago. My mother passed away and I was also recovering from a broken bone. Watercolor was my therapy of sorts. UA-cam my classroom. I have been watching UA-cam Videos for a few months now, bought some supplies and have done some techniques practice. I am trying to get myself confident enough to paint a small piece of beginner artwork. I can not believe that I have not come across your channel to date...your video was one of the best. I really liked this, being a beginner myself... I use too much water, so when you tell us, the paper is dry, or damp, or very wet, while you are adding pigment, that really helped me. I watched the tulip video first, REALLY helped me too!

Amazing! This is my kind of watercolor. Even though botanical paintings have their appeal, this example is what watercolor is all about in my opinion: fresh, light, somewhat impressionist style. Thank you for sharing!

Just found ur channel 2 days ago . I love ur videos and paint style.. Cosmo are everywhere in korea where I grew up but I dont see them in America

Thanks Sylvie for your comment. Shadows are scary at most times, but even more so on beautiful, delicate flowers. Just make sure your painting is dry before you paint shadows. Keep practicing and enjoy :)

First time that I have joined you with your cosmos tutorial. A great lesson , you explain it so perfectly and demonstrate so easily. Watercolour is wonderful but I find can be quite daunting at times. Love your tutorial and this painting is soooooooo beautiful. Wow 😲 only three colours . You are such a great. teacher .
