My youngest husky has hit a behavior phase at 1 year old, she’s acting out, trying to dominate the other husky and even targeting other dogs in the park. Tonight she rides apart her dog bed so it’s time to get my strategy together and change things up.

I walk my husky twice a day. Once early morning and evening. I do not let random people pet my dog. He is free at home when I leave. The only problem is he lays in my bed when I'm not there. Other than shedding, he is a good dog.

just got a second husky ,we adopted an Alaskan malamute almost 6 months ago and just rescued a stray husky (looks more like a mini husky, she's a lot smaller) iv pretty much got her potty trained in less than 2 weeks, but today she chewed on a cord , i thought she was chewing on her bone till i hurd a spark, a yelp, and the computer, lamp& fan turned off she chewed the extension cord. luckily she didn't get hurt ( i think she learned her lesson) but now my fiancé wants to take her back to the humane society but im really hoping i can fix her chewing on everything, i love her already.our alaskan malamute very rarely will chew on things he's not supposed to, mostly wipes, paper towels, napkins ect. we go on walks like every 3 ours at least, even if i have to work i come home on my break. so idk she chewed the cord right after we got back from an hour long walk.

I take my husky to the dog park every day for a hour and normally walk him for a hour but lately he has been getting out of hand spraying all over (he is neutered) and tearing things up and I don’t know why all a sudden after a year and a half of the same schedule

My boyfriend and I bought a Siberian husky (service animal) about five months ago and he already tore up five couches, our floor, broke doors down, and tore down door frames. I am just so helpless because I had to quit my job for him and I have to stay home with him 24/7. We no longer have couches in our living room because he will just tear them up. We cannot put him in training because we are already in debt for the damages done to our rental. I do not want to give him up I just need help to understand what he needs :(

So i have had my husky for about 2 weeks now. We get up at 5:30am to walk for an hour and a half, i leave for work at 7:30am and come home at 5pm, we walk for another hour and a half. Some days I’m able to stop by during the day to let him out and play for a little bit. Within the 2 weeks i have had him, he has completely destroyed 5 metal crates to where it looks like the incredible hulk came in and smashed them. Destroyed my back door, TV and my washing machine. I leave music on when i leave for work and put plenty of indestructible chew toys and squeakers (he loves squeak toys) but has no interest and is immediately tearing down the crate when i walk away.

My husky was adopted at after being a lost dog at nearly 2 years old and he won’t stop peeing on furniture and in the hallways despite being brought out side constantly or the back door being left open for him to go outside. He also poops, tore up all my blinds, my couch, won’t crate train because of severe anxiety chewing up and bloodying his mouth and feet, he jumps up onto the dining table and lays there and anything he wants to do he pretty much does it he clawed the siding off of my front door! Help I’m going crazy because I love him and don’t want to get rid of him but I don’t think I can handle this much longer and I love animals. I don’t have the money for a trainer for him. Idk what to do! Please help if anyone has an idea of how to cause him to stop doing these things. Otherwise he’s the sweetest dog ever and it’s hard to be mad at him with his personality, but it’s literally like he just doesn’t care even will do it right in front of your face without thinking twice. He only chews things up and gets into food left out when we’re gone, but I can’t be home 24/7 to watch everything he does. Ugh 😩

we just rescued (our 2nd husky) she was also a stray at 3 years old, who knows how long she was out on her own. and a lot of what u said she also does, i finally just about got her potty trained in 2 weeks, taking her out, giving her a piece of a hot dog (only for potty, treat for sit or anything else) as soon as she goes.right when she wakes up or eats & putting her soiled puppy pad outside where she went once already has really made a huge difference. at first she had no clue what to do & would only go in the house on the puppy pad tho at least, she also has anxiety and freaks out in the create (will eventually calm down, but it's heart breaking) and chews on EVERYTHING& ANYTHING so i feel your frustration.

Leaving my house is easy it's when I'm home and I have been 4 months now(I feel like it messed up her routine because I was gone for hours every morning to work and now I'm not) so she started tearing apart anything and everything in the yard and she's getting into my gardens even though their fenced off! I made the backyard safe and she always diggs and finds metal and plastic things way under the ground it's not possibly 2 watch her 24/7 even do I feel like I do it's always in a split second. Doesn't matter how much attention I've constantly gave her she will always find SOMETHING in the two minutes I'm not there😢 she won't touch anything on tables in or outside of the house so it's not your typical dog thing. She actually looks and finds the stuff we never see on ground meeting from a drop sock to a dryer, sheet.... God forbid I do laundry she's finding something in the dirty pile and instantly makes a hole! it's not always obvious stop she finds the walking away something Falls & don't have time to look back it's already taken even realize she is constantly up our butts to say the least we can't do anything around the house without her RIGHT THERE! I guess they're pack animals I've had dogs a few times in the past and they've all been super easy to train Huskies on the other hand I've met my match! Just when she's trained she isn't she changes her mind 🤯 not enough words in the world to explain a husky. Nothing's consistent, yet it is, they can surprise you in positive ways but they can also surprised you in many negative she's also began to resource guard growing snarling embarrassing her teeth at us if we try to take something she deems high-value! Sometimes it's a sock sometimes it's a scrap of paper! Or she just doesn't want to come in when I go to get her leash to guide her in cuz she's not listening to "come inside" like she used to😢 instead she growls at me & lunges it seems like a very drastic step to go from super sweet laying in the front on her leash, Bradley in lunging at me for asking her to come inside and having to make her by simply taking her by the colar & bringing her in. As for when I'm Gardening God forbid I put. Down a small hand shovel, a twig, or create a pile of weeds... I spend so much time with her and played with her since the day we got her at 8 weeks old homemade organic treats, she gets three walks a day everyday plus we go to the park at once out of all three walks rain-or-shine snow especially is her favourite😂 I forgot to mention she has PICA, so she doesn't like regular toys and dog stuff nearly as much as she likes inanimate objects(it's like she's trying to be human cuz she's always see me garden she started pulling up the grass with the mud attached but then she eats it and now it's a habit I can't possibly control she also eats the snow and ice) and I'm at my wits end I've trained and retrain her, I'm continuously training her using the same commands as to not change it intra newest thing today is acting/ pretending to act fearful of me even though she's never been in REAL trouble. She obviously knows by my tone of voice. I don't want to have to re-home her because I've researched do this since day one and nothing is working, my fear is in re-homing her. no one else will understand her, because she's such a beautiful dog and really sweet when she's wants to be that should be passed from home to home😢 I'm just NOW running out of patience that says A LOT! I LOVE HER MORE THAN ANYTHING BUT I THINK SHE'S USING IT TO HER ADVANTAGE CUZ I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP PICA THESE NEW/OLD BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. OH YEAH SHE STARTED JUMPING ON US AGAIN TOO.. sorry for the all caps didn't want to let go cuz of caps lock cuz I didn't want to lose my train of thought🤷🏼‍♀️
