Classic release and leveling was by far the best time in Classic.
100% agree, nothing can beat it. When Azeroth is full of people playing and exploring it, it's honestly magical

How do you feel about leveling now that they made the release time announcement? I'd say Blizzard ruined the chance to level a character during prepatch alltogether now becouse of the time frame. Or atleast ruined it so that you cannot take leveling slowly i.e like questing and enjoy it.

The amount of people leveling classes, doing dungeons is amazing right now. It's just a shame that the boost sellers seems to have doubled by the day lately, had to download an addon to expand the ignore list to have a useful LFG chat.
Dude it's amazing! The world is so alive, I love it, I just hope people use the prepatch as that "fresh server launch" experience because I can't think of a better way to spend my time before TBC. I'm with you man, forget the boosters

I was a try hard in classic until I got burnt out at AQ40 and quit. I've since come back just recently and I'm leveling on a brand new server with no help from 60s or a guild, just taking everything as it comes nice and slow.
As of this comment I'm a level 35 rogue with almost 200g made purely from just playing the game normally (and taking full advantage of the inflated market).
Looking forward to my 40 mount and then TBC in the near future baby letsgoooo.

Personally, i already have my main at 60 with mats, professions and gold prepared so im just gonna vibe through prepatch, helping my leveling bloodelv guildmates out and maybe leveling one myself. Also some arena, some bgs, a little bit of everything as this time will definitely never come again^^

I'm so glad that we finally downed C'Thun last night. A real sense of accomplishment that we never did during Vanilla and we got it done before TBC.

Are you trolling here or serious? I actually can't tell... I say this because I clear it weekly in pug GDKPs in about 1 hour, maybe 80 mins if people get sloppy and lazy. like... what were you doing to not have this done in August or September?

There's actually a lot of people still progressing through the game and they don't want to get carried through pug runs with Naxx geared players, they're going in with less than pre-bis. Not everyone lives and breathes WoW, it's not a competition

TBC is the first great mmo. Vanilla was a huge leap forward, but TBC was where they really got the recipe right. Just enough player comfort without the game playing itself. A mature ranking system. A world with hundreds of ways to profit and dozens of ways to optimize your toon. You're in for a treat.

I agree, the leveling experience seems to be neglected sometimes. I am most excited to level an bloodelf, even though I'm a bit scared that it will be too crowed in the starting zone.
Oh that starting zone is going to be PACKED, but I’m just gonna lean into it haha it’s super rare that we get this “everyone in one area” experience so I’m gonna lean into the craziness 😄 and then we can always wait a week and level when it’s a little slower as well

I can’t believe it’s almost over. I have a massive list of things I want to get done still. Just gotta work on it one day at a time. Still don’t know if I want to use that 58 boost but if I do, it might be a rogue since that’s my lowest level alt and most recent that I’ve been leveling.

I agree sir, the community and vibe ARE the best part about classic wow. I hope that continues in TBC, but with the addition of competitive PVP with skill-based rewards.

I started playing wow one week into tbc and I never got to raid the current content at the time cuz school / part time job, and I was a noob ofc.. so I hope it's as fun as I remembered it to be :)

i missed classic wow but am getting bac into TBC . I orginally started in WOTLK and it was amazing i loved it but when pandaria came i quit a little bit into it. Excited to try classic TBC for the first time!

I have leveled a shaman to 60 this month and it was so fun, I already got a druid to 30 and a hunter to 20
So fun! I'm leveling my hunter right now and just having a blast
I will complete all highlevel quests with my 60s to turn them in once TBC is out. Also I plan on completing all low levelquests with my main since I'm a completist. Maybe I get another alt up. Without boosting of course. :-)

Another big thing about PVP is getting you titles before pre-patch hits, because once it does, you cant earn them anymore till Cata with RBGs
True! With how close it is it’ll be hard to realistically get any title past 9 or 10 at the most I imagine

All I want to know is when is prepatch and how long is prepatch. Would love to relive the leveling experience as a horde pally, and raiding at 60, or pvping for HWL gear since that wasn’t possible all those years ago. These are the “some changes” I’d like to see. But if prepatch is may 4 and tbc is may 18, then I guess I’ll just boost through dungeons as fast as possible in a mad dash to try and hit 58 at least by tbc launch and suffer through a week or running dungeons severely under geared compared to my friends in full bis naxx gear. I’d honestly love a 6 week prepatch. Maybe longer. A chance for all of us to experience 40man raids with pallies and shamans. Dominos naxx clear (30min or less)! Let’s get it!

Haha I feel that though, if prepatch is short I would totally understand boosting, I’m like 95% sure it will be at LEAST four weeks and I’m hoping for 6-8, that way we can experience Classic in all these great ways like raiding on our shamans and pallies and getting that gear

I didn’t play end game of classic which now I’m super disappointed about, I hope they do fresh servers one day!! I started tbc in 2007 so that’s where all my nostalgia is, I don’t have a max level character to prep lol but I’m planning rolling ally shaman anyways. I played feral Druid back in the day and did a lot of tanking(yeah I know a girl who doesn’t heal 😱) but I’m really curious to try ele and ranged dps and I love LOVE being a hybrid in tbc.. it’s such a great time to be one! I’m disappointed with how blizz is handling tbc, the boost, mount and short pre patch but I’m hoping all this won’t interfere too much with the tbc experience. 🤞🏻

Hey! Do you know if Tailoring will be affected by the 'you need to keep the profession in order to keep the benefits' change they gave Jewelcrafting and Enchanting? I was gonna level tailoring for the full mooncloth set and then go jewelcrafting alongside my enchanting. Haven't found any info on it, do any of you here know?
All the sets except spellstrke are tailoring only. They already were back in the day
What this guy said! You need tailoring specialization to wear all the sets and then for Spellstrike/Whitemend you don't need tailoring to wear but you need tailoring to get the set bonus :)

I believe! Levels go a lot faster in the prepatch, experience rates need cut by 20%!
What are exactly the professions that have a cooldown and could use an alt? I know tailoring does, but what are the others if you really want to min/max?
Alchemy stands out. In vanilla we have the transmutes on 3 day Cooldowns.
Leatherworking has the refined salt cooldown.
Tailoring has mooncloth
Vanilla of course. Im not sure what the cooldowns are in tbc. Im asuming those 3 still have a CD item

Leveling my female Shaman, is what I look forward the most. Name is already capped, mats for Jewelcrafting are gathered and I only need to decide if I will go for Alchemy or Tailoring as 2nd profession (already have an alchemist and a tailor but getting a second one, of either, seems smart).
You're ready to go! Both of those are great options, tailoring could net you a ton of money right out of the gate with those cloth cooldowns
@@AmmeTV1 Hmm, yes, tailoring seems to be more practical, due to the cooldowns. Having a second alchemist was good in Classic because of the Arcanite CD, but that won't be any good in TBC.
@@DraGonnTheAkadian Alchemy does have the meta gem transmutes and primal might transmutes which are also massive and will honestly be great gold making as well, tailoring will only really be super lucrative right off the start so alchemy is a solid choice if you wanted to do it :)

It's not over
It's about to end though! And yes, I know, "ackchyually, there's legacy servers" but the prepatch is going to bring the last big push of people leveling through Classic, the bulk of the playerbase will be in the outlands and the legacy servers are in the final game state, not fresh progressive servers. It's essentially the end.
I’ve spent my classic experience doing things I wish I did when I was 12, TBC will be no different. I’ll be making a draeni shaman since I never did in original.
This right here is what Classic WoW was made for, this is the way!
I totally agree with leveling being the best in Classic WoW thats why i knew i would quit shortly after hitting 60.
What i enjoy most for Pre-Patch times and before is leveling my Arena Hammersmithing Warrior and farming shit towns of Mats for Jewelcrafters to Level making me a small coin towards epic flight when TBC Launches ;)

I can't level as fast as everyone else seems to; I'm slow, take my time and do everything myself and in groups. I'm looking forward to leveling up my BE lock as my new main! I don't even think I'll reach 50-60 by the time the portal opens though >_
Don’t worry! The experience required to get each level is reduced by 20% in the pre patch, you’ve got this!
agreed that leveling is the most fun thing about Classic, everything else is also fun but leveling will always have a special place in my heart.

Oh man the classic wow dungeons are the best dungeons ever designed for WoW in my opinion, we actually did a big tier ranking list of them on stream last night and there's just SO many good ones

You missed one of the best gaming experiences of all time then. Tbc isnt better then classic. Classic is THE game. After THE game there are just expansions...that change the game.
Il be playing classic forever. Its a totally different game. On classic forever servers it will just keep going on with the 40 man raids and we will continue it. Its not a bye for many of us. And its still a big hello to for many
@@chilledgamezone4950 To each their own. I feel TBC builds upon Vanilla instead of changing it, unlike the modern expansions. Things were fixed instead of changed.
About how long after prepatch will TBC launch? Weeks or months?
Nobody knows yet, could be as short as 2 weeks or months or longer, everyone is just waiting on Blizzard right now haha

the classic gear would help with lvling in tbc? BiS classic literally gets replaced by greens from quests in hellfire peninsula :O
Phase 6 BiS is about on par with level 70 pre-BiS and rank 14 arena gear gets replaced by items around 65-66

Not likely gonna see too many shamans / paladins in the prepatch raids now that there's only 2 weeks. Also from what I understand from some O.G.s who remember the original prepatch / tbc launch (I was there but don't remember), honor was wiped going from prepatch to launch, whereas marks were retained. So probably spend any honor you get during prepatch to be safe, marks are actually the main pain point anyways.

It's honestly hard to say, I personally think that's a little soon with the beta still ongoing but I would put a lot of money on it being in May and going for 6-8 weeks
The blue pvp gear is not available in phase 1, so why stack up on honor and marks?
Hmmm, it'll be available at Phase 1, are you referring to the PvP gear changing to a reputation reward in patch 2.3? Cause that's the biggest change, but they're in from the start!
I remember the first few days of classic release, there were people everywhere. It’s sad that past classic the vanilla zones is gonna be more empty.

Leveling a druid for tbc hit 30 last night and gotta say it’s prob the most enjoyable class I lvled and I got 4 60s
Druids are great levelers, definitely one of the most fun to solo level
I am kind of lost on how to get into GDKPs if I'm not in a big guild
You just have to keep your eyes peeled in LFG for people advertising. Also see if your server has a server discord and ask around in there who hosts GDKPs and if they have discord servers for them :)

We don't know 100%, but a lot of people are speculating that it will be available, but we haven't heard anything official from Blizz

IM lookin forward to raids but the leveling grind is Amazing if boosting is not a option for others. I personally will keep my toons and make copies into BC servers.
I personally can't wait for prepatch so I can start selling all the stuff I've been holding onto for months that I bought for dirt cheap and start making bank.

I was looking forward for the pre-patch, but after learning how bloody short it is I probably can't even enjoy it.
Like many others I have a full time job, so all I have time for is to get my Horde Paladin to lvl58+ before the TBC launches.
I can't figure out why Blizzard thought that 2 extremely short weeks is going to be enough for the pre-patch. This is just another red flag to me that Blizzard wanted to rush this game out from the door to get that revenue for this quarter and keep their share holders happy. I can't think any other reason than that why they would do this and it frustrates me. =/

It's extremely simple, their racial silence plus Mortal Strike/pummel/fear and intercept stun would be way too over powered in Arena. Now if I had it my way, Gnomes wouldn't be able to be warriors either, Cows can't be rogues because they are too big, so Gnomes shouldn't be warriors because too small + escape artist, but oh well. There is your answer.
