Cheap Projector - UC30

Teardown of a UC30 projector. This device can be found on Amazon for about $60, but this one was purchased about 3 years ago for $80. The quality of the device is very high for what it is, but the image quality is poor. The brightness is bad enough that it is only recommended in a dark room.
There are many of these small projectors that claim 1080P video, but they are lying. At most, this one was 640x480, but more likely 320x240. Sure, it will take in a 1080P HDMI signal, but the output is much, much worse.
For movies though, as long as you can stand the lower quality, this is a great little device. This one in particular was used many times in a travel situation because it can run directly from a USB battery bank.
