- This week I will be restoring this very rusty 1950 Hohner harmonica. This is a family heirloom that I wanted to preserve and prevent further degradation. It will be placed in a showcase as a souvenir but it will not be used to make music. I didn't dare try it in front of the camera because I don't know how to play it.
This is an ideal video to relax and enjoy super calm music in the ASMR style.
Restoring old things like this harmonica is a pleasure for me. I hope you will enjoy it too.

Thank you for sharing! My parents just gifted me a 23 inch Hohner they found in Switzerland and it’s magnificent! The reeds have a plastic film on them. Some are missing, some are bent. Trying to be very careful with it! This was extremely helpful although I may try to bring it to someone to help with the repair process
U can give visite harmonica museum in Trossingen, perhaps they have masters to repair old harmonics.
I bought old Hohner Olympia (1936y) in Russia. Very nice sound!
It would be interesting to listen the notes of the harmonica before and after restoration!

I just got my hands on a Hohner UNSERE LIEBLINGE? its not nearly as bad as this one in the video just one tiny little rust spot but it does need to be restored. Fyi I know absolutely zero about harmonicas lol

Man, you lost the chance to save it by replacing the nails for screws. When you restore an old harmonica you must make constant adjustments closing and opening the harp. Old harps use to get out of tune too frequently. Also, those nails are big, air leaks are almost sure to come
