If you count just the attack power that may be accurate but if you count overall strength, speed, odservation haki etc Luffy is a league above Zoro in every way other than attack power
speed is not only running ... zoro has a lot of speed when he performs his techniques to the point of not being able to see him ... in the blink of an eye zoro already cut his enemy, in techniques zoro is also very strong because he has tatsumakis, long distance cuts, daisen sekai, etc. and he has a very good fighting style that is santoryu and he also has a lot of power

Not to forget Zoro is one who save Luffy from kaido, he damage kaido more than oden does, he literally save Luffy by going inside of kaido's mouth, he made kaido to transform into hybrid form.

@@benjaminmiller6923 no base luffy IS weaker than base zoro and even base sanji. Its not a hard counter it's just these two in their base forms have stronger attacks. BASE FORM is no transformations. So in that case base form zoro going all out wounded and made big mom scared. Base luffy has uuuhhhh... you see luffy relies on transformations to be strong. I mean u see base zoro is stronger simply because he trains in base form and works on his base form. Luffy doesnt he works to perfect gear 4. I fact i put zoro and sanji above gear 3 luffy. With unperfected gear 4 I don't see him beating zoro, idk about sanji, simply because of zoros monstrous endurance and im sure zoro can last well over 10 minutes with gear 4 luffy.
@@benjaminmiller6923 the difference is luffy is a straight up counter to enel where enel can't even damage him. Luffy can damage zoro and sanji. These are completely different scenarios where in one case enel can't do much and luffy is weaker simply because he can't master gear 4 YET.

But Luffy is much stronger than Zoro, and even Zoro's little moment of Ashura, which is a attack seen once every 500 episodes, doesn't make him on par with Luffy at all. Luffy is simply much more powerful. When Luffy returns from underwater, lets talk again, and the series will show you how Luffy isn't just 40% stronger than Zoro, but literally 2x,3x stronger than Zoro. Because the Luffy we will see in 5-10 episodes from now, is a Luffy that get's Gear 5 and in conquerors control in a way noone in the Strawhat team has. Zoro did a final attack and Kaido still stood there. Kaido would have smashed Zoro's head in if he wasn't teleported away

I think because since luffys base form doesn’t use gears or haki it’s just regular stretchy punches and kicks but with zoro it’s swords and one of those swords are a black sword so that’s why base zoro might be stronger than luffy
Zoro with enma and odens aura should be lower. Zoro can cut kaido only because of the sword and that too in a team fight. He isn't balanced overall like luffy. Zoro with current feats makes me think that he could be above queen at max. No way he's 1st commander lvl now, unless we see the same haki blooming as luffy during a fight, he ain't getting to that level. This is coming from a zoro fan. He will get there, but not currently.

Luffy g4 boundman (without ryou) couldn't even screach Kaido in their First match and Luffy g4 is very close to katakuri (maybe equal).
But Zoro,he literally killed Kaido's dragon form by 50% and made kaido to transform into his hybrid form.
He even save Luffy from kaido from inside of his mouth. Zoro Also cut kaido's drago breath and big mom's prometheus. Big mom scared of zoro's attack, kaido says it's not less than oden. After few chapters I know Luffy is going to get big power up but Zoro already get bigger boost

But I don't agree with the eneis lobby power levels because Rob is probably 2 times stronger than Kaku and luffy beat Rob in a close fight while zoro beat Kaku in a close fight. Zoro should be a bit more than half as strong as luffy.

Zoro has ashura coated with coc and the attack is so great it even dealt big damage to kaido so luffy would probably die.

Man i little bit dissapointed in how the last gap is so small ....the gap between luffy the captain n zoro should be higher...luffy from each arc after time skip always fighting top characters such as ceasar clown, doffy, cracker , katakuri n now kaido n big mom ...it wasnt possible for zoro to close the gap so much consider he always fighting weaker opponent than luffy in each arc ....also rayleigh once told u power grow every time u faced strong opponent ..that is exactly what is luffy doing throughout the arcs after time skip ...the last gap of power level only applicable to sanji n zoro who are rival in straw hats crew n close in terms of power ..but for luffy it should be more higher than zoro .
Why does there have to be a Gap between them?
The Straw Hat crew, is not a Yonko crew. Zoro isn't trying to rival and overcome the right hand man, he wants to become the world's strongest swordsman.
The Straw Hats will be the strongest crew in history, and part of that reason will be the fact that people would have to beat Luffy, and Zoro who's just about as strong as Luffy, along with Sanji who can keep up with them.
That's just how it is. Luffy and Zoro fought to a draw in Alabasta, and it hasn't really faltered since then. Luffy beats the final bosses, but Zoro has been nerfed by injury like from Mihawk throughout the pre-timeskip. Don't you think that was for a reason? An excuse as to why he wouldn't beat the main villain himself, stealing Luffy's shine.
At no point has Zoro found someone he couldn't one-shot throughout the timeskip. He beat Hody, he beat one-shot Pica Doffy's right hand man, he clashed with Fujitora very well who's stronger than Doffy, etc.
He also trains more than anyone else, almost everytime we see him if he isn't sleeping.
It's just that simple really.

@@nmty4226 Zoro's durability is clearly still above Luffy's. Apoo hit both of them with the same attack, only Luffy got knocked out. He took the double Yonko attack for a brief moment and was still up, Luffy got knocked out by just Kaido.

I never said Zoro is stronger, I said Zoro is on Luffy's level. That has been evident throughout the entire series. Luffy is "above" Zoro now, due to this new application of King's haki, not on a physical level. If. That's the only gap between them, fine by me, however Zoro also applied King's haki that way, and similar to Ryou he did it way before Luffy.

Well, it's reasonable because he's yet to fight head on a Yonko.. and up until now, Kaido can still clap Luffy, so I don't know. I just align Admiral level to Yonko level, eh.. so If Luffy finally defeat a yonko by himself, I think that's the time you can put him to an admiral level. But now, sadly it would probably take him more than 10 chapters (on manga) to defeat him with his allies (Kidd, Law and Zoro) but if we say Luffy defeating Kaido, its still impossible for him.

Ashura Zoro is superior to Gear 2 and 3 of Luffy (the larger object is easier to cut), and before the timeskip Luffy could not be stronger than Zoro for the same reason why Aokiji could not defeat Akaina. Three Thousand Worlds also brings the King Kong Cannon (Zoro's weapon haki are stronger than Luffy's). And where is Dragon Vortex with haki?

I can agree that pretimeskip they were prob quite close but now the gap is noticably bigger
